Hey all! My names Shannon and this will be my first time at Roo! I've always wanted to go, but didn't have the funds to. Luckily this year, a child-hood best friend who lives in ATL ( and who I also haven't seen in over 18 years!! ) bought me a ticket. I convinced my one of my best friends to buy a ticket so we''ll be making our way down to ATL (from CT - hellla long drive !! ) and from there go to Roo the next day. I'm beyond excited and just wanted to stay hi to everyone!!
You're lucky. Because there will be flushing toilets.

I know !!! But even if there wasn't if still be equally as excited... I had mentally prepared myself for the worst

First time I went to Roo, it was in the 60s when I left CT. It was nearly 100 during the day and humid the entire weekend in TN.
I live in Arkansas and feel I'm well prepared every year for the humidity but it never works out that way. I thought I was dying most of last year at roo and the chicks from michigan I camp with were handling it like champs. They didn't even use a camelbak!!! I was so impressed but also felt like a little bitch bc I couldn't get my act together.

Honestly, the portos aren't that bad. And last year in centeroo they had them sectioned off so that it was a male area and a female area. Females have monthly cycle issues but we don't piss on the seats so it was a nice and welcomed change last year to not deal with pissy seats. In the campgrounds, however, especially pod 10, the portos were absolutely filthy. I'm sure you'll get the full bonnaroo porto experience but just make sure to take a bandana and cover your nose and mouth so you can't smell anything. You'll be fine!

Btw, the attendants are super serious about this distinction too. One night at the ones near This Tent, I saw some bros and an attendant get into a profanity laden shouting match when they tried to bring one of their girlfriends into the men's area since the line was shorter. The attendant was having absolutely none of that.

This is my first Bonnaroo. I almost didn't come, but it is becoming a bit of a pilgrimage for me. I lost a lot in 2015. Long time boyfriend died in May, followed by two other deaths in the family shortly afterward. Music has been a safe lace for me to allow myself to grieve and be sad without completely losing myself to it. I am looking forward to some time alone surrounded by nature, great music and people full of love. I'm a little terrified. I am not a young chicken any more, coming alone and Grehounding it, but I cannot let that keep me from coming because I will love it once I am there.

Aloha! I'm Mimi and Bonnaroo 2006 changed my life! My parents introduced music to me at young age and it has always been apart of our family. We used to sit around the living room and my dad would teach me about music while listing to her large record collection. Bonnaroos I've attended: 2006, 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013(pregnant) and I'll be there this year!! Bonnaroo is my happy place! I've missed the farm! Fun fact my birthday is June 10th so I've celebrated my birthday at Roo many times!!! I love dancing in the grass at open air concerts! I enjoy having some space to dance around! Another fun fact at foster the people in 2012 I think it was my friends and I took a chill break and just were hanging out under a tree. The music just called to me so much that I just started dancing where we were while my friends were chilling enjoying the show they wanted to taking it all in. After a few songs I look around me and I've started like a huge group of people dancing around with me. After a few songs some of them were ready to get closer to the music but came over and gave me some high fives and kind words letting me know my dancing helped give them the energy they needed to get up and dance! It was an amazing night!! Also same year during two door cinema club my friends and neighbors that we had made friends with all had the same thing to eat and it wasn't sitting well in their tummy so they went back to the tent to recharge. I was really looking forward to two door cinema club so I wasn't leaving and in glad I didn't that set was great!!!! I once again started dancing in my spot but the music called me closed so I just kept moving closer. Finally I ended up in this one spot that had a good amount of room to dance. I was dancing really into it and once again started a dance circle crowd! It was amazing! Love dancing to live music especially at Bonnaroo! I love the farm! I love that centeroo never closes! It's amazing! I love a lot of types of music! Looking forward to Dead and Co this yeah as well as many others and checking out bands I never herd before! I am a military spouse so we move around a lot! Love all the opportunities that have come my way and how the farm keeps calling me back in!
