Has anyone mentioned the White Witch, aka queen of Narnia, in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and her offering of turkish delight to Edmund in the early parts of the book?
If so, sorry. If not, I was thinking you can get the words "white" "witch" "Turkish/Turkey" "Edmund" out of this reasoning.
"Festival Express" is a documentary about a famous chartered train that carried Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, The Band and others across Canada in 1970. The train made an unscheduled stop for liquor in Saskatoon. I'm guessing much of the better Canadian liquor had bottles in cloth sacks. Saskatoon is also know as a favorite of the British Royal family, including the Queen.
Although Joni Mitchell is from Saskatoon, poor health prevents her from touring. The Sheepdogs are from Saskatoon.
Edit: It just hit me, "trained" applies to dogs, too.

this is a stretch but rapper q-tip from a tribe called quest is from queens and allthough the q in his name is for queens, the qtrain is also a subway train that leaves from queens to manhattan. other rappers from queens include rakim, nas, run dmc, ll cool j, and mobb depp. hopefully someone can find a good reason 4 nas as he would be my prefered #1 rap artist at the festival
I agree with this. It could also work well with "A Cloth Sack State of Mind" part, because he's from New York and a cloth sack could point towards his name -- "Q-Tip."
I believe "trained" could be an adjective in this case and might refer to a series of sack cloths tied together, from end to end, that form a train of bags.
Anyone else think the sack cloth state of mind has anything to do with going green or whatnot? Saw it mentioned earlier, but im finding a few leads from it. The green train (www.greentrain.com) is one place to start. There was some sort of tour last year, but i am having trouble finding who was a part of it. The only thing I'm coming across is Merle Haggard had some sort of lawsuit with them. I'm going to continue looking into this route.
Another If anyone can get a band or song out of this...

I agree with Queens NY and that is why I guessed Paul Simon but there's a lot of artists with songs about choo choo trains. It's a very appealing object as a song theme. Cloth sack is a pretty bizarre object though so I think if we need to focus on how that fits into it. Trains and cloth sacks definitely forms an image of a hobo or vagabond. Nas is from Queens but how would the cloth sack train thing fit in?

It works with Q-Tip somewhat though because an actual q-tip has cloth sacks at the ends. I think Q-Tip is the best guess.

Help me out here folks. The Decemberists have a couple songs and albums concerned with kings and queens (the king is dead, her majesty the decemberists, etc) and they also have a song called "engine driver." I'd just like to say, there's a possibility here.

It's Seasick Steve:
He would travel long distances by hopping freight trains, looking for work as a farm labourer or in other seasonal jobs, often living as a hobo.
Of this time he once said:
Hobos are people who move around looking for work, tramps are people who move around but don't look for work, and bums are people who don't move and don't work. I've been all three.
In the 1960s, he started touring and performing with fellow blues musicians, and had friends in the music scene including Janis Joplin = (Also known as Pearl, The Queen of Rock and Roll, The Queen of Psychedelic Soul, The Queen of Rocking The Blues)

I think Manders has the front running theory here. I had a pretty strong feeling that Seasick Steve would be on the farm this year. He just recently signed with Third Man Records so it makes sense

When I first brought up Seasick Steve I was going to make the friendship with Janis Joplin connection, but when asked about it in an interview he replied "We both lived in San Fransisco in the sixties. Period". So I'm not sure if that connection fits the "queens delight" part of the clue. I still think it is him, I asked Gary if he has seen an answer on here yet, hopefully he replies.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

Gary gets everything from Wiki and on Wiki it mentions that they were friends. So I think that would make sense.
Trains used to carry mail cars, with mail transported in cloth sacks. The song, "City of New Orleans," by Steve Goodman was made popular by Arlo Guthrie, after he heard Goodman perform it at the Quiet *Knight* bar in Chicago. The song mentions "twenty-five sacks of mail." The song appeared on Guthrie's album, "Hobo Lullaby." Arlo Guthrie?
How about Limp Bizkit??...The train/hobo reference could be in regard to their leaving Interscope and the decision to record Independently....and the Queen's favorite food is Biscuits.
-Cloth sack state of mind refers to Buddhism. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budai -In Buddhism, nirvana is “the perfect peace of the state of mind that is free from craving, anger, and other afflicting states.” en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nirvana -The ultimate state of nirvana is achieved by “having lived a life committed to the threefold training.” en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nirvana
Savor the queen’s delight.
-Dave Grohl joined Queens of the Stone Age for Songs for the Deaf, the band’s most successful album. -Both Dave Grohl and Josh Homme (from Queens of the Stone Age) are in Them Crooked Vultures. -Savor [every single taste] is a lyric in No One Loves Me & Neither Do I – it’s in the third to last verse, which is traditionally sung by John Paul Jones and Dave Grohl. The rest of the song is primarily Jones. -Led Zeppelin’s Moby Dick is also known as Pat’s Delight, a song written by Jones.
So, Them Crooked Vultures? (The second Them Crooked Vultures album has allegedly been in the works since 2010.)

Yeah but it has that quote on wiki right after it says they are friends, I'm sure Gary would have read that also, i dunno, I just want it to be seasick Steve!
