Hahahaha you hated festivals like one year ago. Now you understand, them shits is addictive.
Hangout last year definitely changed my perspective on festivals.
Also, back in '99 my grandmother's neighbor gave me an extra ticket they had for a fucking Aerosmith concert so I went with them. The Afghan Whigs opened and that was how I discovered them...holy shit they were badass. I really hope they're a legit add too. I was not expecting them to even be considered for an addition to Lolla.
Red Hot Chili Peppers The Black Keys Black Sabbath Jack White Florence+ the Machine At the Drive-In Avicii The Shins Justice Passion Pit Sigur Ros The Weeknd M83 Miike Snow The Afghan Whigs
Sick lineup but I'm a little dissapointed at the top. I have to go all the way down to Sigur Ros and Justice on the lineup to get excited. Everyone else I will have already seen. Meh.
I'm a bit worried about that booking.com reservation at the Chinatown hotel or wherever it was. Mentioned it on Phantasy Tour and this tour chick said that place is known to just cancel your reservations and that you can end up screwed, she said it happened to her friends on Phish tour last summer. Really worried I'll end up in Chicago with nowhere to stay.

Solid lineup that I like slightly better than Bonnaroo's + this costing roughly 1/2 what Bonnaroo will cost for me = See ya later Bonnaroo 2012. Wish I could feasibly do both, but alas.

I'd still love to go, but I can honestly say it doesn't do as much for me as Bonnaroo's does. The only acts that I really want to see that I won't be seeing soon or have already seen are Jack White and Justice.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

That lineup is loaded. Great undercard. It's just stacked all the way around. I'm really hoping Roo can come out with a few more adds and reclaim the throne. Still a Roo'er for life but at the moment, there's no doubt this is the top lineup for this year. Gotta give Lolla props
Easily the most excited for T.E.E.D. Holy fucking shit! About time he started appearing on some US Festival lineups!!! Do not miss this one if you're going!

I think you should call them tomorrow. I am going to start working on a back up plan. Philip (dude that worked with Tony at wintzell's) lives in Chicago and might let us stay with him. Messaging his ass now. edit: Tony said his GF might have reservations about us staying with them. Oh well, no shame in trying. We need to book our flights as soon as we figure out the hotel situation though. If Chinatown falls through, we're gonna end up dropping a G each on flight and hotel.

So the line-up is up on the website, and they have Black Sabbath third behind RCHP and The Black Keys. Weird.
I'm not surprised. Take ten average Lolla attendees and ask them to name one Black Sabbath song...
6 - will try to pull up YouTube on their phone when you're not looking 2 - will say "Iron Man" 1 - will vomit on you 1 - will punch you in the face before you notice their Diary of A Madman t-shirt
Gonna post this here so the normal board doesn't eat me alive...
Coachella > Lolla > Bonnaroo for 2012
Not by huge margins though.
Honestly, If Roo had 2 or 3 out of Passion Pit, M83, Miike Snow, Kaskade, Avicii and Nero, I'd say Roo is was just as good. But I guess Roo is always less "hip" in this sense.
When Lolla actually releases the line-up will they break it down by day like Coach? I may just do a day.
Serious lulz at RHCP and Black Keys being billed above the one US Black Sabbath reunion show. What a joke!
I don't know most of the bands on the undercard, gonna be awesome finding random awesome shite.
The thing that has me feeling alright about Chinatown is that so many Inforooers have rooms booked there. I think we should set it up to where if some people get screwed they can stay with others and vice versa. Def down for trading some numbers to make sure no one has problems. The rooms are mainly gonna be for blacking out anyways.

This made me lol too. Ridiculous. RHCP I could understand, but I really do not get Black keys being billed over the fucking legendary gods of metal. Also surprised to see Bassnectar billed higher than Justice. (and aviici billed higher than justice for that matter)
Also, I thought there would be main stage electronic headliners this year. Not looking like it based on the top 6
My verdict on this lineup, is that it is amazing, but not worth dropping 1k this year on tickets, hotel, and flight. (maybe if I were doing better financially) You kids have fun
