looking to tour dates, it would make sense for M83 to play Lollapalooza. They are playing in NYC a few days later at Central Park Summerstage. Even though Pfork festival would make more sense, being that they are a Pitchfork darling band (number 1 song of the year, number 3 album of the year).
Just a guess, but I'm betting on No Doubt to have one of the headlining slots at Lolla this year. They have a new album coming out and Lolla loves 90's alternative headliners.

Maybe I'm spoiled because my only Lolla was in '08, but the headliners since then have really been disappointing. It's going to take a lot for me to make the trip up to Chicago again, especially since the fest closes so early and you have to find other lodging in the city.
I really wish every festival could announce their lineups around the same time so I could make an informed decision about which I'd prefer to do.
I'd love to do Lolla again. But 'Roo is calling me back
I love Lolla. I missed last year, but every year they offer something new and exciting, but with that said, it never comes close to comparing to Bonnaroo. Not even close, regardless of lineups.
Radiohead/ RHCP/ Black Keys/ Jane's Addiction/Beastie Boys or Dre and Snoop/ Skrillex
Perry will be :
Justice/ Lupe or OFWGKA/ Big Gigantic or Bassnectar
RHCP has a May 28 Chicago date, I don't think they would have scheduled such a close date if they were going to be at Lolla. I think the "big 3" (which usually get leaked in late Feb or March) are going to be No Doubt/DMB/Black Keys. We'll know soon...

I doubt Radiohead will be headlining Lolla. They are supposedly playing in Chicago as part of their run up to Bonnaroo (although that is just a rumor at this point). Same with the Chili Peppers who are playing in Rosemont before Lolla. Black Keys are possible, I could see them playing Lolla or ACL as a headliner as they are playing both Austin and Chi-Town early in the year, before the festivals make their lineup annoucements.
Dre and Snoop could work. Skrillex played last year so I doubt they will have him back again.
The Beastie Boys is an interesting one. They have been pretty quiet since MCA had his cancer treatment. We haven't heard a word about them performing live. They are getting inducted into the Rock N Roll hall of fame. If they don't perform at it, I think that will be a sign that they are long way off from performing on stage again (if at all).
I think the "big 3" (which usually get leaked in late Feb or March) are going to be No Doubt/DMB/Black Keys.
This would be so underwhelming. No way those are the top 3, though Black Keys will almost undoubtedly be there.
Add Metallica, The Cure, Beck, Kanye/WTT, and some big name DJ to the mix
Kanye has headlined twice, I don't think he'd get another headling slot so soon. Is Metallica even touring this summer? There are always 3 "secondary" headliners as well that play at the same time as the primary headliners to divide the crowd. Last year Coldplay played against Muse, MMJ against Eminem, and DeadMau5 against Foo Fighters. However FF, Muse, and Eminem were the "big three" that got leaked by the Tribune early.

Perry tweets at a lot of people, so I'm not entirely sold on the idea that those are the headliners. That dude may have gotten one or two of them right, but Metallica has their own festival, Beyonce is being a mom, and the Black Keys aren't there. I guess we'll know more when Greg Kot leaks three of them sometime this month.

Beck would make sense, but I just can't see Metallica there. They've got the Orion festival, and they didn't fit in at Lollapalooza 1996, so why would they make any more sense now?
Some of the other names that Brent DiCresenzo mentioned were Smashing Pumpkins, Jack White, Swedish House Mafia, and Sigur Ros. I could see the latter three being there, but Smashing Pumpkins are way too past it to be in a decent slot. Corgan wouldn't take a mid-day main stage slot, but it's what he deserves. (Unless they're doing Siamese Dream with the original lineup, which isn't going to happen.)

damn (if that is for real). Did it leak from a credible source like a Chicago music writer (which a lot of times happens weeks leading up to a summer festival).
The source is debateable, however, Perry is pissed and spoke to MTV News about it today. I doubt he'd be this worked up over someone leaking a fake lineup.
