Dont worry Phi, Ill be dancing my ass of drinking Old Style Tall Boys and you'll be trying to get into the Congress... you wait till you get there then youll know what I mean...
I filled out that form to get into the free Twin Shadow/Neon Indian/Passion Pit DJ set thing at the Logan Auditorium Thursday Night... It says that I'll receive a confirmation closer to the show, does that mean I am on a guest list or they are sending me e tickets or what? Also, whats the venue like? Night club where I have to wear pants and a button down or is it come as you are?

I believe they'll send an e-mail confirmation that you're on the list, but no tickets. It's still first come first serve though, so make sure you get there early enough.

For Phi. I love this guy. When the Lunar stage was at Bonnaroo and I thought it was a main stay, I was hoping he would get booked for it on a Thursday night. The guy definitely knows how to get the club moving. This is one of the only guys that can get me to go to a club, even though Debonair is hipster central, and is Grimey as hell.

At this point I'm not expecting to hear anything and I'm just going to show up early and see what happens.

Yeah. I'd really like to go but I'm not sure when I could make it down there and don't want to risk not making it in time. I'll probably just go to Sharon Van Etten & Tennis up here Thursday night.

You guys should check out Revolution Brewing if you head out over near the Logan Auditorium. There isn't a ton to do out there, but that place has GREAT beer. Food is supposed to be pretty good, but every time I've been there I've been on a liquid diet.

Chief Keef is a Chicago boy, getting all sorts of hype right now from Kanye on down. His buzz is sorta outpacing his talent, but he's still pretty solid.
Gambit - Shooting for 9 sharp but my less determined friends are probably going to have final say.

So what are people's schedules for the weekend?
I'm pumped and bored at work, so here goes:
Friday: Animal Kingdom > The Growlers > Yellow Ostrich (partial )> T.E.E.D. > Tame Impala > Afghan Whigs > Head & The Heart > The Shins > M83 (partial) > Black Sabbath
Saturday: Milo Greene > Doomtree > Bear in Heaven > Moon Taxi/Aloe Blacc (game time decision) > Neon Indian > Alabama Shakes > Tallest Man on Earth > Franz Ferdinand > Bloc Party (partial) > first few songs of RHCP > Frank Ocean
Sunday: Bowerbirds > Bombay Bicycle Club > Polica > Trampled by Turtles/White Rabbits > Little Dragon > Sigur Ros > Toro y Moi > Of Monsters and Men/ATDI > Miike Snow > Jack White
At some point I may even eat, sleep, or use the restroom. On second thought... probably not.

Thursday - Twin Shadow/Neon Indian LN
Friday - Frank Ocean LN
Saturday (only day I managed to snag a pass for) Chief Keef > Bear in Heaven > Star Slinger or beer break > Neon Indian > Tune Yards and Tallest Man (split). Then I really have no idea between The Weeknd/Washed Out (who I've seen once live and were awful but I like their records)/Franz/Twin Shadow/Calvin Harris, just depends on where I am in the park and how much damn walking I really feel like doing at that point. Then I'll probably end the night with a mix of Avicii and a second Frank Ocean viewing. Then the Champagne and Bananas after party at the Carriage Club of Chicago*

I prefer Twin Shadow in general as well, but I'll probably have more opportunities to see them in the future than Bloc Party. Also, I wouldn't pay $30+ to see Bloc Party at a club show, so this is probably my best chance. I'll need to listen to those new songs floating around before I decide, I suppose.

That's tough. The two new Bloc Party songs are pretty solid (they sound more like Silent Alarm than that messy last album), but so is the new Twin Shadow album. I saw Twin Shadow last weekend, and they put on a good show, but I'd go with Bloc Party because it will be a while before they come back. Twin Shadow will be everywhere on the road for the next nine months.
Also, I've got an extra ticket to the Jane's/Franz show on Saturday night. If you're interested in going, PM me.
Twin Shadow will be on tour for the next nine months, and the two new Bloc Party songs are pretty solid (they sound more like Silent Alarm than that messy last album), so I would go with Bloc Party. Both are solid choices.
That's what I've heard too, I just haven't gotten around to listening to them.
Anyway, this is what I've got planned:
First Aid Kit>The Growlers>Yellow Ostrich>The War on Drugs>Tame Impala>SBTRKT>The Shins>M83>Part of Black Keys then duck out early
Fidlar(Partial)>Bear in Heaven>Delta Spirit>Chairlift>Tallest Man on Earth>First half of Franz Ferdinand>Bloc Party>Frank Ocean
Oberhofer(Partial)>Polica>The Walkmen>Sigur Ros>Toro Y Moi>Jack White
First Aid Kit > The White Panda > T.E.E.D. > Zedd > Madeon > Die Antwoord > Passion Pit > M83 > Black Sabbath > Bassnectar > NERO/Die Antwoord LN @ Congress
Saturday:
Milo Greene > Bear in Heaven > Star Slinger > Neon Indian > The Temper Trap > Tune-Yards > The Weeknd > Bloc Party > RHCP > Frank Ocean > Gary Clark Jr. LN @ Schubas
Sunday:
Oberhofer > The Devil Makes Three > White Rabbits > The Walkmen > Sigur Ros > Toro Y Moi > Big Gigantic > ATDI > Zeds Dead > Miike Snow > Justice > Maybe Jack White
