caddyshaq and I live in Mobile, AL That's a 16hour drive: 32+ hours in a car...do not want! Plane ticket should be $500 a piece round trip...I'll take it! I'd like to fly out thursday morning and fly back monday evening. That way we could dick around the city thursday evening and most of the day monday. Or at least that was what I had in mind....killin' 3 days of vacation for the trip. I suspect we'll end up working half the day thursday and flying out after lunch though.
So doesnt the lineup leak every year? Seems like that should be happening soon. Other than these hints they've been posting.
That usually happens before the Bonnaroo lineup drops. I know I had reservations about my Bonnaroo decision when I heard Eminem was going to be at Lolla last year, but he ended up being at both.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

There hasn't been any real rumors yet in Chicago. Although, you could put some money on Kanye, mostly because Kanye is to Lollapalooza as Widespread is to Bonnaroo.
I saw Justice at the super-stacked Voodoo '09..... they were very tight,, but, it was during a cold rain, which was miserable, and it kept them from using their light rig!!
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

This is from 2008, so things are definitely a bit more advanced now, but here's a pic of their live setup...
So tech wise, it's just a bunch of tools to trigger things in Ableton and some other things of that sort.
Their DJ sets are your standard 21st century DJ setup. Here's an example...
So beyond the tech stuff, the big difference (and the difference that matters to most people) is that a Live set features almost entirely their own music, arranged ahead of time to be presented as one cohesive show with a corresponding light show (think: the Daft Punk Pyramid. Exact same concept). Their DJ sets feature some of their songs, but a lot of other songs by other people (aka, whatever they feel like spinning), and no choreographed show/light show, they just play with whatever house lights the promoter provides.
Are you sure about that? They had no stage lights.........seems kinda out of place for an electronic set.
I hope Justice at Lolla is a live set...
It was definitely a DJ set, I know that much for certain at least. No clue if the rain changed anything with their set, but their DJ sets almost never have them bringing out the Cross or any of their own lighting, so...
The good news though is Lolla will most likely be a Live set.
God this is just getting better and better and better and better and fucking better!!!! So fucking glad I bought my ticket and hotel room already, now I dont have an excuse to back out this year like I did last year.
