Okay we all pretty much know by now this will go down. There is no if and's or butts about it. Phis will be epic Radiohead will be epic. I just fell asleep readin inforoo and had a weird dream about running back to camp to get glowsticks for Radiohead. I have intentionally let this poll run a lot longer then Bonnaroo for 175 days. There will be epic heated discussion before and after it goes down. First off I want to discuss something no stick just bracelets and necklaces we dot want any eyes put out. Second off if we were closer to the ocean there would be a concern Scrog raised last year glowsticks lead to death of sea turtles. Third off I have talked to a real Marine Biologist. He is a friend of mine from college he studied biolgoy graduate school level at Exeter in England he said "quote are you not just a little to far inland for this type of concern". Fourth we can be neat and tidy up Centeroo after we have made it for the lucky band look like a UFO has landed. I have an idea from the last Sunday Phish show. It will be both trippy and awesome. Let's pick up as many glowsticks as possibly take them to the back 40 of the main stage and make a huge mandala. I saw that going down the last time Phish played it was awesome they had the arch ,watchtower, fountain, yellow glowsticks made into a lightning bolt striking the arch to show the storm from Thursday night etc. Most of the major features of Centeroo together with several glowy tents and teepees from camping. We can reconstruct and do this one better this time with careful planning. So where is this going to go down Radiohead or Phish. Both have been highly anticipated to return. Let's not disappoint them. Let's do something special. Let's give into "the madness". It is 2012 it might be something we all take to the grave if the Mayans were right this year. Let's show this festival how things get done! Let's make this thread something epic for this board in scope and depth. Let's make sure that it is so audacious that Insider has to come here and drop a word or two in on the poll. State your case as well do not just vote. Let's make everyone a participant. I am contemplating this glowstick war like an alcoholic contemplates a fifth of unopened booze. This is the spot where we rage hard! June is a long time coming but is getting here. State your case! also the Mandala will serve to consolodate things at the end and not stress Clean Vibes to much. Wouldn't it be the cats meoow to watch them have to shovel the glowsticks at the end of this? Let's give Ashley Capps something to remember for all times. If we make something crazy enough they might have to contemplate dissassembly. Like do we really want to do that?

100% Radiohead now with my frst and only vote so far and to think what will be posted after simply because I fell asleep reading Inforoo and had a dream about having to run back to camp at the beginning of Radiohead because I forgot my "sticks" you know that will never happen because every day I will look at this poll and want to go bigger in my schemes now. Also people with heady lasers light up hula hoops fire breathers etc are all welcome in this thread. After all it is 2012 and we could all be quacked by the end of this year lol. Might stand good with God or whatever to be like at judgement in the afterlife cracking a grin and say okay you "got in" but only because of that glowstick war. You did not waste your time on Earth with that one particular act. The Mandala will be our prayer and or landing strip in case Aliens decide to come down and party with us. It will be like the Nazca Indian Lines in South America.

I'm in either way, but we all know Phish is gonna be lit up either way. Might as well just add to that madness! I'll be bringing thousands, and I'm up for anything/everything you're talking about here!

If I was in favor of the epicness of Phish I would say "Silent In The Morning" or "Velvet Sea". Which I will be the first to acknowledge there will be wars at both shows. There will probably even be an epic Chili Peppers battle.

I just don't see myself raging during Give up the Ghost or Videotape.
To be fair, you did pick two of the calmest Radiohead songs ever. I could easily see a glowstick explosion during "Feral" or the groovy part of the live rendition of "The Gloaming"

if this show is going to be mostly In Rainbows and King of Limbs, then i just see glowstick explosions maybe during Bodysnatchers and Bangers & Mash. I'm sure since its bonnaroo they might bust out National Anthem or Paranoid Android or both and their could be glowsticks then. IDK it would just seem kind of forced to me. I saw them at Roo in 06 and Charlotte in 08 and neither show was a glowstick rager. But like you said they'll be there. and it will be silly.
I think we'll have glowstick arcs over all of the night-time What Stage shows. The glowstick war during DMB's "Bartender" in '05 is still one of the more impressive ones I've seen at Bonnaroo.

Yep I agree I do not even leave cigarette butts on the ground! It will be better then the Project Icefly Bonnaroo did though I highly suspect most of those heady blinkies got either attached to people or stuck in pockets! At least I was trying to think how to have fun and not be a burdeon at the same time. And does ANYBODY have photos video etc. of that Mandala in question?

Tough to say. Usually the jam crowds seem to understand glowstick wars better than other crowds, but then there was Radiohead '06 with the wave of glowsticks that came from the back to the front (during House of Cards?), which stands out as one of the single best memories from any concert I've ever been to
There were far more glowsticks being thrown at Radiohead in 06 than either Phish set in 09, from what I saw. I almost guarantee a more passionate crowd for Radiohead.

I make a sincere effort to not avoid the filters on here, or at least have since the mods' requests a month or so ago. But I am not ashamed by my response to this, with regards to Radiohead at least:
