Hi sorry is this has been asked. I was wondering how quickly the main release of tickets sell out. I am a little tight on money right now being im 17 and $270 is a pretty significant amount of money for me. I should have it in about 2 weeks. Should i worry about a sell out before this time.
Ok sir, we'll set the over/under at March 15th. Three roo beers. YOU MAN ENOUGH BOY!?
You said two weeks. Tickets will probably go on sale Friday the 17th if the schedule drops on the 14th. Two weeks from that is March 2nd. You trying to hedge your bets, pumpkin?
No but I think March 15th would be a fare over/under date given previous years history dont you think? Two weeks would require odds. We can do it that way if you'd like.

I'm not one for beer bets honestly. I still don't think it'll sell out in two weeks though.

I think I might take your two weeks this year, and raise you two bags of ice for after the brunch.....
Now I can think all day it will sellout in two weeks, but if I am going to BET on it, I have to have fair odds, and you know very well 1 to 1 is not fair odds hahaha. March 15th?

Depends on the lineup, that is why we call it betting son. If AC pulls a surprise Tom Waits set out of his ass it will go faster than that. Phish having a short touring season, and only two other southeastern dates will make a difference, also throw in a wild card like ZBB, or Leonard Cohen and it will push a lot of people over the edge.
PT is a huge message board and in 09, the entire Phish community had a lot of disdain for Bonnaroo. This year all I see people saying is "I would never go back, unless Phish and Radiohead are playing". I think a lot of people are going to be surprised this year with how fast it sells out..
Of course maybe the undercard will be mediocre with no other big wow, then I might lose. I like the vibe this year is giving me though so I am going to stay positive.

The confirmed/rumored undercard is already looking pretty good. Radiohead almost sold out roo in '06 once the fest weekend approached.
With Coachella selling out 2 weekend with a quickness, I don't see why Roo wouldn't either.
because Coach sold out quick last year and Roo didn't.
Coachella didn't sell out two weekends in two hours last year. Also a lot of people did not get Coachella tickets, and still want a festival where they can see Radiohead.
All i know, is that I am super happy to already have my ticket paid for. I wouldn't want to risk it. Festivals are becoming more and more popular. When the coachella lineup dropped, a bunch of friends of mine that have never mentioned festivals in their life were talking about it.

I guess what I'm saying is people said this exact thing last year. "Well Coachella sold out quick, so I bet Roo does too" and then it didn't. If you're that worried about it, do the payment plan.

Roo did sell out for the first time in years though.

I do not see it selling out that quick. A lot of people will not show who came last year without a hip hop heavy lineup... eminem and lil wayne brought in a lot of bonnarookies
I see tickets available at least until mid April, probably longer. Every year there is this HUGE worry about tix selling out fast. Heard it when Eminem played only his second show of the year (at the time) last year. Heard about it when Phish came back with two shows. Heard it when Tool and The Police played. just relax...tickets will not disappear in two weeks.

I knew many would doubt about the quickness of how fast it will sell out. My thought is how much do you like the line up? How important to you is it to go this year? How will you feel if it sells out and you did not get a ticket? There are several factors on top of the line up, more people are going to festivals, but there are becoming more festivals to go to. I agree Roo sell out in less than two weeks from the day tickets go on sale.

We don't even have the lineup so you can't really assume this. Drake and Mac Miller are both heavily rumored which would definitely draw a fair share from the same crowd as Em and Wayne. Before someone jumps on me, NO I'm not saying Mac and Drake are as big as Em and Wayne. However if those 2 are there with a couple other hip hop acts, Roo will still sell a good amount of tickets to that crowd. Plus, don't forget a lot of people may have bought tickets to their 1st Roo because of Em & Wayne, and then realized how awesome Roo is, and decided to do it again.
You know it's a good possibility. I realize there is nothing concrete that puts him there, but it wouldn't surprise anyone either. 90% of the mocks this year have him on there.
I like the back-and-forth debate on here, and I'm siding with the It's Gonna Sell Out Quickly Side. If we are talking Radiohead-Phish-RHCP on top, I think that's going to be a huge draw. Then you throw in the usually-stacked 'roo undercard. ... and you do the math. I know I personally have no plans to hold off on buying tickets this year, unless there's a KOL-level negative surprise in store for us.
