Not an April Fools’ joke — a new version of the street team is coming back per Bonnaroo’s social media accounts. This is apart from the Ambassador program from what I can tell. Looks like you need to apply to be considered, and I have zero time these days, but for anyone still interested:

I applied last week but I am confused since we are pretty close to bonnaroo already so if I ever hear back I don't think it will be possible to earn enough points for a free ticket

I don’t know how the new system will work, but I remember needing to do a few poster runs (4 or 5?) with lots of social media promotion to earn a ticket. I think it took maybe 2 or 3 years of being on the Street Team to finally earn enough points. It definitely took some commitment and patience. (I also thought those poster runs happened in February-March more than April-May, but they’re behind on a lot it seems.)
If you end up being selected, I’ll be curious to hear what it’s like now — in fact, I bet a few of us will. Keep us posted. I hope you get chosen and it’s a good experience.
