Shoooot. if Moog is a different weekend than Voodoo, I'm doing both. DAMMIT. I keep saying things like that when I KNOW I should be saving for Glasto. But.... it's still far away so, I can still dream.

As I've said previously. If anyone is wanting to split a hotel, and spend a few extra days prior to the festival in Asheville let me know. I'm thinking Tues-Mon or something.
Not for awhile. GL says mid-May. And Phi, I might be interested.. but that would depend on my week in Nashville before Moog! (Refer to Color Run thread)

I just started a new job. My days off are limited, to say the least. I had already planned on Bonnaroo, and have put in for those days. I also have a number of out of state wedding this summer which will require a day off, plus I'm doing Newport Folk Fest which needs a day, plus at least 3 Radiohead shows which might need time.
I'm doing Moog. I've decided, the lineup last year was just too awesome, it sounds like a crazy/killer experience, I'm in. I've always wanted to go to Asheville, I really want to check it out, it just sounds terrific. I'll need to take time off for it - at least the Friday, probably the Monday as well.
If you had to choose - Bonnaroo 2012 or Moog 2012? Keep in mind that I could ostensibly delay this decision until late May, when the Moog lineup is out along with the Bonnaroo schedule.
It really depends on what you are looking for, Juggs. You know Bonnaroo. I won't bore you with that.
Moog is a nice vacation. Show's don't really start till early evening unless you hit up some lectures and in-stores. They also did some for the Moog Lab, during the day. They go on till in the morning (at the smaller venues).
Everything is easy to walk to and the food is always plentiful and good. You can spend as much money on Moog as Bonnaroo. The hotel nights add up quickly.
IF I ever had to make a decision I'd go with Moogfest. That's based on my musical tastes though.

tough decision. probably going to miss roo myself for allgood or moog. Sadly enough i was born in asheville and yet to make it either year. Have any of you guys tried the sweatpea hostel? it will fill up super! fast but if you could snag a room its easily the best place in town. Directly above lexington avenue brewery(lab) and very nice. The beds are usually 35 bucks a night. Cant beat the location

Like GL said it's really depending on what you are looking for. If I HAD to choose one I'd probably choose Moog. Asheville is beautiful and the food and people are fantastic. I felt like I was able to appreciate the music more because my energy of staying alive could be directed to the other things. There were tons of inforooers there and everyone was great so pre/after/during parties were so nice and relaxing. It's the difference in going to a party in college where a lot is going on and there are all kinds of interesting things to look (roo) at to going to a party in your later years where you know everyone and while it's not as stimulating it's relaxing and chill (moog).

its not broken into rooms. Your best route is get a group of 4. and ask for the pods next to the window. Hard to explain but you will be glad you did. They have a full kitchen/ bathroom/ single showers. Last time i met a group from oregon and we have already had a reunion since then. this was for wsp last spring
^ That's the reason? Yeah, he was @ the Sweet Pea Hostel. I couldn't then (and can't now) say their name without chuckling.
I might have said something about Vector wanting someone to cuddle with since the other two rooms had couples in them. I might have also said that Vector seemed like he'd be gentle.
P.S. Keep in mind. I said this with having never met No Age or Vector.
If it were me, I would choose Bonnaroo. You are taking a full day off for NFF? You could probably manage a half day or less?? Any why haven't you chimed in on that thread???
