Moogfest was amazing, pretty small and intimate for a fest. Dancing on stage with the flaming lips and meeting Wayne Coyne (flaming lips) when I was dressed as him for Halloween was one of the best moment of my life. I was in a crazy state at the time too... Makes me tear up thinking about it haha. Regardless, amazing festival.
How did everyone like the cabin last year? What were the dissadvantages? I'm assuming being so far from the venues is one.
Trying to decide whether to book a hotel downtown or go a cabin route.
Cabin was nice. Seemed fun up there. The road up there though, its kinda scary and esp. at night. Then if smoke bothers you, or you fall asleep before 3 am... it might not be so good.
Downtown Inn might not be pretty, but it is a great location. I was using Bonnie's extra parking pass since I was way out on Tunnel Road. The second hotel I was at was off I-40, 10 miles from downtown. Cheap and quiet, but way out there.

This is like the fourth place I've seen that posted in the last month or two, I don't understand how it keeps making the rounds, heh. Definitely the 2011 tour.
I'm craving the lunch pizza buffet at Asheville Brewing Compnay... But maybe that's just my hungover, grease craving tummy talking.
That's funny Bonz... last nite I wore my Asheville Brewing t-shirt & thought of you/us having lunch there. Every time I wear the shirt, it makes me smile. Such happy memories in that town.

I might. But I probably couldn't say for sure until summerish. I need to get a better idea of vacation days and finances and such. I am not sure what I would do for a week besides drink?

When do you think they will announce Moog dates??? I am thinking about trying to do a week and a half down South- Half in Nashville, half in Asheville. But it would greatly depend on Moog dates. I am hoping for the weekend before Halloween!

I feel like last year was mid-May they dropped the dates and line up a few days after that.
I'm almost 98.2% positive that it's the 26th-29th.

If you try and book a hotel room in Asheville for either weekend the Downtown Inn's rates go up $35 for that weekend (26th-29th). I know they are booking things now(Moogfest that is), according to an article I saw right before Bonnaroo came out.
It maybe just Halloween but I feel good about that.
