Trying to get some people talking without calling people out as mafia. Everyone had said something other than the initial votes except for RDK, Nick and Surf. Surf and I were in the the last game I played together and he was always talking so just thought I'd poke a little, see if any of the quiet ones were alive.
yeah, I talked up a storm LOL but if you remember, NoAge and I had a bet - and he won...
So I agreed to tame my accusations and slow my roll. I was a wildman! haha
I really don't see much that suspicious at this point. I don't want to read too much into the 3 letter thing or the alphabetic thing. And its the first round of voting, so not much to go on at this point
I'm not seeing that RDK. Your vote is the one that stands on Mike D. The only other Mike D vote was LLL who was joking and immediately switched back to SFA. Tally adds up to 11. Am i missing something?
There is nothing suspicious in trying to move to a runoff. If anything, your suspicion is suspicious. First game. I'm just excited.
Dude, if you are a townie then we should think this over. The last time a mafia member got voted off in the first round was close to a year ago. I think it's happened twice in the 12 or so games I've played.
If we are both townies then the mafia are sitting back letting us be put into this runoff. I can't tell you what to do because I don't control the votes against you. Just something to think about and maybe get some discussion going before our fate is sealed.

Actually, in the game I was referring to, the mafia member only got voted off because they were in the runoff with the inspector. Which forced her to come out in the first round.
The last time I remember a mafia member being strait up voted off in the first round with in like August of 2010. There is absolutely no doubt they are sitting back hoping for this runoff.
OK, first off, SFA, I have no reason to think you are mafia. I just wanted to stimulate some discussion, which I think we did to start forming some patterns. I am switching off you at the bottom of this post, and thanks for you patience.
Sorry it took so long to get to this, my wife and I had our second child last night, a baby girl, about a week and a half early. I have been following on my cell phone though, so I am still very much in the game.
While she was asleep though, I had thinking time and some of it I spent putting together patterns from previous games.
SFA brings up a good point that the mafia typically don't die in the first round, except for Mafia 42, where Phi came out as Inspector in Day 1.
Although his vote for me, and his comment on my suspicion led me to the though, I am changing my vote as follows:

I know this is a lot of vote changes and to some, that looks suspicious. Please hear me out though, as I AM a townie, and I want us to nab a mofia in the first round.
I went back and looked at all the previous games played by Phi, and found that (aside from the disaster at Inspector) he posts about 12 times during the first day. Typically, he is a "speak first, think later" player, with the exception of Mafia 45, where he was strangly silent except for some inane comments early on. It was also the only Day 1 where his post count fell below 10 for the first day and in that game he ended up being Mafia.
I am not saying definiativly that he is Mafia at this point, but it deserves an explination, and in my opinion, a place in the runoff.
I also think we need to look at RDK and Mike D, since Phi proposed a very similar voting structure last game to protect mafia (even though he did not use it then). That said, I have no other reason to suspect either RDK or Mike D, except for the vote pyramid they set up.
I know it is very early, and this type of analysis can be pretty flawed early on, but I really want us townies to win, espeically after we were killed by friendly fire last game.

Ohhh, haha. I thought you were making fun of me because of how much I rant and rave when I get put in runoffs.
wlviking and I were actually referring to two different games. I've yet to read the game when Phi was inspector. In my post, I was talking about when EAP and Sarah were put in the 1st round runoff.

No, need to apologize. That's how it goes. People have to make votes or it wouldn't be a game. My main point was to reach out and say that I think it's clear the mafia are happy with the runoff they had coming so we should shake things up.
If we are looking at who put folks in the runnoff it was Abra & Phi voting Viking LLL & Viking voting SFA
Now there is no runnoff. I had to choose someone and chose RDK, then Viking puts in SFA. Phi takes his vote off RDK to put Viking in, then Viking switches off SFA. Point is the first two in the runnoff are now both out of the runnoff. Viking following my reasoning raised a few hairs, but not enough for me to change my vote yet. Viking wants Phi in the runnoff, all I have seen Phi do is vote RDK, as I did. I am thinking if Viking wants Phi in, it very well could have to do with his vote for RDK. With that, my vote currently stands, that's how I see things right now anyway.
