That's an interesting point. I find it somewhat hard to believe he didn't really know what he was doing with that vote. SFA is too good a player for that. Maybe he threw one more player in late to try to protect a fellow mafia that was already in the run-off.
My post was actually a question to LLL, not questioning SFA's vote. I might have not been clear. LLL?
As far as my vote for Bonzai, it really was a reciprocal vote. I figured I could go back and change to viking need be, since I did want him in the run-off.
A question about this. At 8:26 EST, SFA voted for Viking, which was only 45 minutes before voting was announced to be cut off. If you thought you'd change it back, were you sitting around at that time to make sure? This is not an argument against the reciprocal vote.
Also, not that it matters at this point, but I don't think I completely qualify as a quiet player. At the time it was brought up, I had 6 posts to the other's 2 and 3 counts. 6 posts for the first day or so of a game is a average number. There was a 16ish hour window of time where I didn't post because I was trying to catch up, and have been posting regularly ever since (outside of my Cheesecake shifts and my early bedtimes that is!). Just sayin'

I didn't want him to vote someone right off, I don't like it when someone holds on to the last vote like that. It is kind of suspicious to me to do that because they have the chance to control the whole game then. He very easily could have voted for you and voted you off, or someone else, including me. At that point I would have had to change my vote to make sure that there was a runoff. And if he didn't vote for viking I was going to change back to him, because I think that it is more worthy having him in the runoff than you. My vote isn't staying on you unless say or do something worthy of it over the weekend. If you would feel more comfortable, I'll null it now.

I also wouldn't have chosing him to go in because he has talked his way out of several runoff before. That would be a dangerous choice if I was truly trying to protect someone.
I disagree with that completely. If I were trying to protect someone I would have gone with WVL to put in the run-off. He would be the easiest to damn and to convince other voters that they should be suspicious of him. To a certain degree that is why I'm laying off of him right now. To use the same LOTR quote as I did last game "I think a servant of the Enemy would look fairer and feel fouler". Maybe I'm wrong and maybe he is playing me that is why I'm cool with him in the run-off and why I would be ok with a second run-off between him and LLL.
Well yeah, I can see that. I do think he is the most suspicious that's why I put my vote back him. I would say in a normal runoff situation he would be the perfect candidate for the mafia to use.
But in this situation, I would not have drawn attention to myself by making him the forth person in a runoff. If I were mafia with any of the three already in it, there are two players that you could go after to save your hypothtcal mafia member. That would be the safer move. Or at least that is how I would play it.
Although it is possible that you, LLL, and LD are mafia. Not saying it's likely but it would explain the vote and motive behind it if you actually knew what you were doing. I can't decide if you would be stupid or obvious enough to do that though.

Haha. I see what you are saying. Sense I'm not mafia I wasn't even thinking of a situation where it could be two mafia in their. Just like I couldn't rap my head around the fact that we had two mafia in the first runoff last game.
No, that's not how I play at all. I wouldn't risk revealing myself knowing that the inspector would immediately have at least two mafia pegged down to that small a group of players. It wouldn't take long to narrow us all down then.

Thank you for the explanation. You keep your vote where ever you feel you want it! That's your decision, not mine! My question wasn't really about the vote towards me, but rather clarifying your statement about preparing to switch to Viking if he wasn't in the runoff.

Well, since it is my intention any ways, I'll make it transparent.

Now, I will say that while what viking says and does is very Mafia like, he did it in the first game I played with him. We locked horns pretty bad that last round because he wouldn't listen to me and I was the Inspector. He got pissed at me for being so "hard-headed", and I really wanted to hit him over the head with a rock at that point. He and I have similiar personalities like that. When we think that we are right, we can't seem to understand how anyone else could possibly not see that we are right! I have to say that it is not a terrific Mafia strategy, unless you really think that you can convince everyone else to toss the person you are arguing with underneath the bus as well. However, so much of what he says is Mafia-esque. Pointing out log in times, posts, trying to shore up against a players being Inspector That was a REALLY bad move to make if he is a Townie, we are all well aware that someone may come out as a fake Inspector, we don't need him to warn us against it. Why cast doubt so early on one player specifically, What if I were really the Inspector, that could totally fuck the Townies over by setting up an excuse for the Mafia to come out with a fake Inspector or be able to defend against me if I were the Inspector. So I could see him being Mafia or just being a Townie shooting himself in the foot there.
Bonzai hasn't really been too suspicious. People said she was quiet, she started talking more. If Bacon is Mafia, I could see them being partners, but I'm not stuck on thinking Bonzai is Mafia at all.
As for LD, I felt like he was kind of an easy Target. He's very quiet and his strange comments and vote for me now is really weird. Having gone back and read some of his games, he kind of seems to do things that don't make sense no matter his role. He has openly admitted that he hasn't read the game in a past game. I don't know what to think of him. I've never played with him before. He could go other way as well.
As for me, I can see where my loud mouth is suspicious. I've been pretty hot about Vikings comments and I'm not one who can STFU when I feel like saying something on a personal level. However, I'd like to point out that when I've had a role (meaning Mafia or Inspector), I have never managed to get myself in a runoff. I do know to not put so much attention on myself when I have a role. Just pointing that out.

I think the assumption is going to be that the run-off will be between me and Viking.
LD turning on me like that is kind of funky the more that I think about it. I wasn't putting heat on him at all. I could see that if Viking is Mafia, LD could be trying to swing this run-off away from Viking and toward me, knowing that it will likely be me or viking.
I agree with you Bacon, if I were Inspector, I would ask about SFA, me, Viking or you. And if I had Vikings name, I would ask about LD or Mike D at this point. If I had your name I would probably ask about Bonnie (maybe Mike D if I thought your vote for him initially was a distancing move) If I had mine or SFA's name, I would ask about the other.
The quieter players haven't said enough yet for me to decide who I would ask about in that pack.

I would be OK with a second run-off between you and WVL or LD. I think we need one that has mutually exclusive players to really give us the info we need for round 2.

Maybe. I'm trying to figure out who would be better to have in the final run-off between LD and WVL and will change my vote as necessary to make that happen

I don't know any better than anyone else, but I'm starting to believe LD might be a bit more suspicious than anyone else in the run-off right now.
I've been looking at the whole WLV vs. LLL thing for the last however-many pages, and I now believe they're either working together to distract us all, or they're just butting heads and the mafia's lovin' it. I'm not sure they're that crafty, it's seemed a bit too heated at moments to be fabricated, but WLV and LLL seem like a pretty good bet to come up with such an elaborate plan.
That said, I have nothing better to work with at the moment, cause no one else in the run-off has done anything too crazy. So, I'm gonna switch to LLL for now. I'll be paying close attention to see what develops this weekend...
