Gotcha. You can always make the case that they were willing to be riskier with the money with investments in the grounds due to the incoming Live Nation safety net.
The Grove is were you can take people like Phil to look at the flowers. Sounds like a solid investment.
Channeling my inner Walking Dead- "Look at the flowers, Lizzie...."
So if I was to guess, they extended centeroo behind the witerslide into the tree line, or this is something out in the campground somewhere. Interesting either way.
I think it must be outside Centeroo. I'm guessing forest on the other side of the fence from other, the patch by groop, or near pod 1
I drove down Bushy Branch Rd. a couple weeks ago. It looks like the arch has been painted. I have never seen livestock there. When the right property on that road comes up for sale, I'm going to buy it. I'm not kidding either.
Living the dream... I would LOVE to live that close to the farm!!
The whole squared off portion around centeroo full of trees most likely is off limits. The road surrounding is a major staff highway, they arnt gonna have a crossing guards there all weekend. Plus there is constant production traffic 24/7. My guess at the moment now that the trees are incorporated in The Grove is out in the camp grounds. They did say in the AMA that they were working on things for out there.
If it is in the campgrounds though, why would the opening parade lead away from all the main stuff in Centeroo?

In a year where the lineup is decidedly underwhelming compared to previous years and where there is less music in general, I wish that they would stop touting all of these new activities. Ooooh, yoga in Pod 2! That'll give me something to do while I wait around until 5:30 for music to start on Thursday!
Man it's almost like people enjoy doing things besides seeing bands at festivals, weird.
The music is the primary function of the festival. When you cut back on that, it's noticed. I'm all for other activities to thin out the crowds, believe me. It's just starting to look like it's being done at the expense of the music and that's frustrating for me.

Yeah, it's being done at the expense of the music because they probably realized most people would enjoy some new art, activities, and infrastructure at the expense of a few bands paying in the scorching sun at noon that no one would come watch anyways. The same people that brag about Coachella's venue, art, etc are now complaining when it looks like Bonnaroo is taking the same strides.

The problem with that logic is that Coachella still managed to put together quality lineups year after year. For me, it's not so much that Bonnaroo's lineup is poor overall (although it's notably weaker than 2013 and 2014), but the scheduling clusterfuck makes an already disappointing lineup look even less appealing.
A little food for thought... Super fly owns that land... The deal with live nation is as much of a real estate deal as it is with anything else. I would imagine that the farm will be kept up more than ever before. Don't be surprised if there will be more than one festival on that property in the future... But what do I know...

Strange, I think this lineup is loads better than last year.
