Yep, I'm in for Coachella next year. I'm gonna buy a presale ticket and plan on camping. I won't be able to make it to Roo next year because my wedding is going to be way too close to the Roo dates. So I was banking on either Coach or Lolla. Venue-wise I would MUCH rather be in Indio over Chicago for a festival. That and I have't been even slightly disappointed with Coach's lineups the last 4 or 5 years running. I'm willing to put blind faith into next year's being just as amazing. Worst case scenario if I don't like the lineup I'll sell my ticket for what I paid for it. It'll make someone else's day by not having to pay $800 for a GA 3 day pass on StubHub. But I HIGHLY doubt I will be disappointed by the lineup.

After being out of school for nearly two years I finally got my first real big boy professional job today. I'm like 90% sure I'm going to this next year.

I am in the same boat. "Big boy" jobs can suck at times, but then you get to go to Coachella for the first time.
It wont be presales Monday...itll be release of the dates and the dates the presale will go on sales. Payment plans did start before I left for Roo last year though

I'm in for at least buying a ticket. Don't know if I'll make it or not yet though. It's just the general assumption that it means ticket sales. Their twitter and coachella.com just have a link to the 10 AM photo so no extra info in those places.

no lottery....if you even think you might have an inkling of going, get on the payment plan. $45 a month (assuming there isnt a big jump in price and you get a camping pass) and if you dont end up going youll be able to get rid of you ticket. Ticket sales last year were a fiasco.

Fuuuu this came up quick. I think I'll have to buy a presale to sort of nudge myself toward fully commiting. Or I'll find out I can't go and will heartbreakingly sell it.

To anyone who is contemplating on going: Do the payment plan. You won't be stuck buying those damn shuttle passes if you do so. Also, they will sell out quick again and you will be kicking yourself if you have to fork out 500+ bucks through some assshole scalper. 50 bucks a month wont hurt you, I hope. Stay out of the bar for a weekend a month to make up for it. Make a Tombstone pizza instead of ordering out of some local shop for 20/pie. Make it work.

Seriously, if you're thinking about going, get your tickets now. With all of the coverage this year's festival got, I fully expect it to nearly sell out whenever the presale goes live. (Weekend 1 nearly sold out in presale this year.) Plus, if you end up not being able to go, I doubt you'll have much of problem finding someone to sell your tickets to.

This exactly. I'll drop two sushi dinners a month, and it will be like nothing ever happened. Good advice, sir.
