I should have known better than to think we had completely dodged the macklemore bullet. I look forward to whomever is playing opposite.
What's everyone's thoughts on any extra late undercard additions? It looks pretty full to me...
Gosh, I certainly hope they add some more undercard. When you factor out the dance tent, it actually looks a bit sparse.
They're up to 60 acts now, which is about the most they've ever had. If they do some rearranging of the stages, which they said they were going to do, they may be able to add a few more. I know most people around here aren't Franti fans, but he is kick-ass on the beach. Wouldn't mind seeing him again one afternoon just to get my jump on.
Not in the mood to discuss Imagine Dragons but that **** song "It's Time" gets way better once you realize he's trying to convince a past squeeze/compensate for an undersized member... "So this is what you meant, when you said that you were spent?" "I don't ever want to let you down" "It's time to begin, isn't it? I get a little bit bigger, but then I'll admit I'm just the same as I was. Now don't you understand?"
Shinedown and Wallflowers? Holy sh@%! Sign me up for that fest. I don't get all the FB hate. If I don't like a festival, I go to another one. I don't jump on the first festival's page and cry like a baby. If Phish throws something in Chicago the same weekend as All Good, as rumored, I'm going to ditch AG and go to Chi Town because I think AG's lineup repeats previous years. I'm not going to spend any effort, however, jumping on AG's Facebook page to demean the promoter and fans. It just seems like a big waste of time and energy. Call me crazy.

I was actually shocked to not see Franti on the lineup. Hasn't he been at every HMF so far?
Pretty happy with the adds. Very happy that it wasn't Widespread or Mumford, although WidespreadTed seems like he'd be a real hoot to hang out with. I believe that there will be at least one more band added to the lineup. And here's why. When Hangout posted about the lineup announcement with the little banana pic, they originally posted "The Full lineup will be announced Wednesday." Then they quickly changed it to "More artists are going to be announced..." It could be something like Ed Sharpe and the Magnetic Cheesepieces getting added super late last year. Also, there are usually two rounds of additions. They'll add some local/New Orleans stuff for The Hangout courtyard stage too I bet. Also, this is the only place I've ever heard someone say they don't like Edward Sharpe & The Zeros, thus the billing above. Also, have fun. Also, bangin several super-hot gals and broads right now and having them type all this up. Forgive grammar mistakes.

for $100 ill let you follow us around HMF one day... That should fill your spank-bank for a little while.
I have no intention of paying for that mess when there are probably going to be 1000's of hot chicks in bikinis running around anyway, amirite?
Good. Then you should maybe spend a little more time exercising, getting a lil sun, and working on your social skills... and a little less time following me around the internets touching yourself.
Good luck with those hot chicks... Just open with "Hi, Im _______ and I have almost 3,000 posts..." and Im sure you'll be golden.
Overall, this lineup is okay, but it's just missing the "wow" factor for me that 2011 and 2012 had. It'll be a good time regardless, hanging with my friends and seeing all the girls in their bikinis and all that jazz... just doesn't blow me away. Firefly had one of those kind of blow me away lineups, same with Coachella and Roo.
If I could get one more add it would have to be Meter Men w/ Page.
Sick show on the beach (funky Meters was one of the highlights the first year) plus you would surely get Page sitting in at Trey's set. A lil more Phishy than '10.
'11 had the wonder factor definitely, but 2012 was just a great fest.
Steve Winwood>GCjr. VIP set was pretty intense though. Gogol Bordello was probably my fav set I've seen on the beach overall counting all three Hangouts.

I think I had more of a wow factor last year because I didn't get to go to 2011.

What created the wow for you last year? This lineup blows that one out of the water in my opinion and is their second best effort talent-wise (behind 2011 of course). For once I agree with Blotter on the first year being un-top-able most likely. It was like 12,000 of us had the fest all to ourselves. You could go to the front of the stage at any show, no problem.
And who came up with the Stevie Wonder thing first? Was it Third Man? Wronginus? Whomever it was, congratulations are in order and we now know to trust this person in the future.

Mostly RHCP (who turned out to be the biggest disappointment at the fest), Jack White and the undercard for me last year was better in my opinion. I'm not a very big jam band person or EDM guy at all, and that seems to be what dominates the middle section of this lineup. Sure, there are some great acts on the bill (Super stoked for Public Enemy, Bloc Party and The Breeders), but there's just less of that for me personally this year.

Hmm. I feel like this is the most indie rock and good hip hop this fest has ever been which has me pleased. I, too, don't care for jam or edm, so I'm perplexed a bit, but hey, to each their own.
I'm gonna go on a limb and guess our Chevy Stage headliners are TAB, The Shins and YYY's? Xbox Tent w/ Bassnectar, Macklemore and Lamar? Though Bassnectar is still before YYY's on the lineup....
LOL if the types of posters this thread attracts is any indication of the Hangout crowd, thats one festival I dont care to ever attend.
Seriously... I don't think many lineups could get me there after this thread.
The quality of posts in this thread are not representative of the people that go to hangout. There is a really happy vibe at hangout from my experience. Most people that I have met there are generally really cool people. I was really surprised that tradition continued last year with DMB and Skrillex on the bill. So it's definitely a don't judge a book by it's cover/lineup type thing (same goes for Voodoo Fest). I met several people there last year that had just went to Coachella too and they had more fun at Hangout despite the huge difference in lineup quality. Just because of the difference in the general attitude of the patrons, I guess.

Darkstahr mentioned him first as a possibility and then I did. Then Th3rd Man, ?, and I heard there was an offer in for him independently. I heard that he accepted the offer a couple of weeks after that, but at that point in time I was not confident in my source. The source I found out from saturday night was when I KNEW it was true. Regardless, HUKA did an amazing job of keeping their employees mouth's shut this year. Probably because of so many booking problems. I feel like Mumford and Avett's both jumped off the hook late in the game and that was the best thing that happened to this fest because it gave us Stevie and YYYs.

Skrillex were billed above FLips last year and he played before both Kaskade and Shpongle in xbox tent on saturday. TAB, The Shins and YYY's are closing chevy unless we get another big addition. No telling who closes the tent nor if anyone does it during a headliner on the main stage.
I counted the total number of artists listed on the Hangout's app from last year (they haven't updated it yet) and there were a total of 79 artists. Ten of those artists performed on Thursday, which means that there were a total of 69 artists for FRI, SAT, and SUN. Furthermore, STI played a double set on Saturday and at this point there does not seem to be any double sets which may leave room for yet another act, bringing the potential additions to 10. Personally, I'm really hoping for some more adds as I'm not too jacked about the lineup thus far...either way I'll still be there. Thoughts? Am I missing something?
Imagine dragons are pretty fun. Big G and hot ghost have my dancing beats. Macklemore easily had te best hip hop album last year, even though I think hip hop sucks live ill see him.
Yeah yeah yeahs solidified it for a lot of people; Stevie wonder will hopefully turn my opinion.
