Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Now that the headliners are released, I'll see if I can find out if there's going to be any site changes. May have to stop in at the Huka house while we're in Nola this weekend.
Has anyone ever seen Brassft Punk? I really like the concept, just wondering if anyone has seen them before.
I haven't yet, but I might leave Japandroids early to catch some of them before Primus at Buku on friday.
If you do, please let us know for sure. I'm very intrigued by it, but also aware that it could be nothing.
Anybody else stay for a week? We stay from Wed to Wed and make a proper vacation out of it. The days afterward are incredible, talkin about the best shows and moments of the festival on the beach. I highly recommend it.

Any Atlanta people on here, y'all hear about the free concert festival at centennial with DMB, Muse, Sting, Grace Potter, Ludacris, Macklemore?
Huh? I'm in ATL working during the week til July, and this sounds like a good time.
On a side note, i'm really curious as to if and when Hangout will sell out this year. My friends don't have the money to buy tickets and i'm worried they're going to miss out.
Yeah April 5-7 for teh Final Four. I think they are still working on a 3rd headliner for Friday. Seems familiar . lol. Wonder is it will be STEVIE WONDER?!

I think it will sell out but my gut is not until mid/late april. I also think there will be a lot of tickets for resale. Just my hunch.
Yeah i'm trying not to look at the bottom third of the lineup, because i'd hate to end up liking an artist. That would mean i'd have to convince my friends to head to the fest during midday. Screw that...
You don't go to festivals till the evening? I mean, there will be days when I don't make it in until 2:00 if I'm not excited about the bands playing cause of too much drinkin the night before, but discovering the new stuff is the best thing about festivals to me. Plus, in 2011, Portugal. The Man played at 11:30AM, which sucked, but it was one of the best shows of the weekend. Different strokes, I suppose.
Im like him at HMF... Ill go in during the afternoon at Roo, but at HMF I ended up on the beach all day or going out for seafood, then going into the fest a little before sunset.
Thur night, plus 3 shows per night Fri-Sun was worth my money.
At Roo obviously I see about 3 times as many shows cuz there isnt a beach to chill on (or a bed/couch/shower/kitchen/balcony.)
Im heading down on tuesday this year so we can have a few days of beach time before the fest, and we are staying about a 8 minute walk from the gates, so Im sure ill spend more time there during the day this time.

We usually, wake up around 11. Have some breakfast, head to the fest watch a couple early acts, walk back to the condo, have a sandwich, go to the pool/beach and have some cheap pregame beers then head back to the fest around 4/5 maybe even 6ish depending on who's playing. It's a perfect day(s). Last year people were pouring shots from the 2nd story balcony in our mouths at the pool, blasting music, got yelled at by some old local rednecks. It was awesome.
Any locals know how far the Sea Wind is from the gate? I got a room there and it looks fairly close but its hard to tell on Google maps just how far it is. Thanks in advance.

I stayed there last year. It's about a 5 minute walk. 3 blocks away.

Just a heads up - If you end up getting a room that's more than a 10 - 15 minute walk, either take your bike and ride (there's plenty of bike parking right outside the gates) or walk most of the way on the beach and don't jump up to the road until you're almost there. The pavement is killer in 90 heat and the condos block the breeze from the beach.
to build on chickinchickasaw, take shoes. You're going to the beach, you'll take them off anyway, blah blah, yada yada. Have shoes available (flip flops definitely count)

Man that is so good to hear. We were about a 20 minute walk last year and it sucked! Except when we caught a chevy for free. Thanks again for the info.
For anyone who does or doesn't give 2/3 of a shiz, here's my top 5:
1) Yeah Yeah Yeahs 2) Bloc Party 3) Jim James 4) Best Coast 5) Stevie muther fugg-in Wonder
(super stoked for a myriad of lesser bands I've kind of heard: Moon Taxi, Sheepdogs, Weeks, Mowgli's, Twin Sister, Holy Ghost! etc. And this Brassft Punk idear. Would love for some input here)

I researched all the bands if only one song on youtube before the additions and this is what i have so far with my notes lol.
Here's my Top 5ish (There's a lot I like): 1. Trey 2. Yeah Yeah Yeahs (Excited to hear some of the new stuff. Loving the first single) 3. The Roots 4. The Breeders (I grew up in the 80s, so The Pixies and these guys are two of my faves) 5. Stevie Wonder 6. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers 7. Jim James
KOL Tom Petty The Breeders Public Enemy Bloc Party Black Crowes
Others I plan to see but can miss if any of those conflict: YYY's Shovels and Rope Best Coast Stevie Jim James The Roots Slightly Stoopid Kendrick Lamar
Also, if I were a betting man, I'd be willing to bet either Trey or The Shins will get moved to Saturday, unless there's some Chevy Stage-headlining big enough name out there that they've yet to announce for whatever reason.
Hi, all. I've been lurking, and impressed by the early call I saw here about Stevie Wonder. I have two things to offer: 1) My wife and I are Gulf Shores locals, so please feel free to hit me up with any questions about accommodations, good local eats, etc. We'll be happy to help any way we can; 2) I saw the recent comments about bands everyone wants to see and wanted to throw this one into the mix - if you have not had an opportunity to check out The Weeks, please do. To me, they are a very intriguing blend of folk, rock, and Johnny Cash-style story-telling.
So I was supposed to head to Chicago for EDC the weekend after Hangout. However, due to scheduling conflicts, EDC is not possible for me. I really liked this lineup, and was considering making the trip from TX. What time does this fest usually start on Fridays? Also, are there any airports to fly into closer than new orleans or pensacola? Thx!

You could try Mobile, AL airport, although I've found Pensacola to be better on rates, generally. Pensacola is a 45 minute drive to Gulf Shores. New Orleans is 3.5 hours. I'd say New Orleans is worth it if you have a couple of extra days to spend post-fest to enjoy the French Quarter, great food, and live New Orleans music. Otherwise, I'd choose Pensacola. Also, if you fly into Pensacola, chose the route to Gulf Shores that takes you on the nothern Highway 98 route. You'll avoid the beach traffic congestion of the southern route that comes in through Orange Beach. Hope that helps.

I went through and did the "projected schedule" again....Friday is looking super stacked, I expect some of these to disperse throughout the weekend..however many bands already have 18th and 19th dates elsewhere. Moon Taxi had their set time at 12am..late nights?
Anyone not listed has either no dates, or all 3 dates listed on their website. I threw Stevie on Sat and Tom on Sunday, no dates listed yet but we can expect it to pan out in that order.
FRIDAY Kings of Leon Trey Anastasio Band The Shins Steve Aoki (date was for Friday, gone now) Passion Pit Grouplove Toots & the Maytals The Revivalists Zion I Anders Osborne Luella and the Son Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Big Gigantic Jim James Ra Ra Riot Twin Sister Moon Taxi (listed set time @ 12am?) Luella and the Son Wild Cub
SATURDAY Tom Petty (elev8 has this source) The Black Crowes The Sheepdogs Delta Rae Ellie Goulding Bassnectar (Aoki Friday/Robinson Sunday...- credit: mjb8797 --- EDIT:: Ellie and nectar on the same day..ehh?) The Mowglis
Sunday Stevie Wonder Yeah Yeah Yeahs Porter Robinson Galactic Dirty Projectors Shovels & Rope Space Capone (4:30 pm) Colin Lake Best Coast
Holy Ghost! Has a date the 19th Sheepdogs are listed 17th and 18th but not the 19th? Are we getting any multiple sets? Probably not. Kendrick was listed on the 17th, date is gone now Wolfgang Gartner will (probably) not be on the 17th, as he has a date the 16th in Cali.
A friend told me that Stevie Wonder is definitely Sunday. Tom Petty did only have Saturday on his website's tour dates, but now he has all three dates. He is playing in Indiana Thursday and in NYC on Monday though so it still makes sense that he is Saturday.
