I got Wookie Flu bad this year, the doc just diagnosed a BAD bacterial respiratory infection, dosed up w/ antibiotics (which scared me somewhat, this doc is usually very reluctant to prescribe them) . 4 days of camping out in a field, 3 hrs sleep per night and close contact w/ 80,000 other people... can't imagine how I picked it up ???. The bad, coughing so hard it make me want to cry. The good, Robitussin with Codine!
So far so good for me thank goodness because last year I had it really bad from all the dust. I could barely talk for 2 weeks. It was in my sinuses, my throat and my chest.
Count me in too. I swear I feel like I really have the flu. Total body aches, cough, congestion, sneezing, the works. Hit me Tuesday afternoon, somehow managed to work yesterday & have been in bed all day today.
Even with all this, it is totally worth it to spend 4 days at my favorite place in the world. Take care y'all & feel better soon.
I definitely have it. It started with a mild cough on Sunday. Went to the doctor yesterday because my throat was on fire. He said he thinks its viral and gave me some cough syrup with hydrocodone, which I think I mildly overdosed on. How pathetic is that? I go to Bonnaroo and then overdose on freaking cough syrup. I just kept taking a little every time I woke up.
In fact the reason I'm even on inforoo right now instead of sleeping is trying to keep alert because it has me a little scared.

Last year I hocked up the mother of all loogies driving back, but was fine otherwise. Not near as dusty this year because of the rain and the additional grass, which for the most part helped greatly.
I am still catching up on my missed sleep, however, so I am always feeling tired. Could be just the blues from Roo being over.

i somehow picked up strep and an upper respiratory infection.
The infection is due to my asthma and allergies being aggravated by the dust, although this is the first time I've ever been sick like this after Roo, even when it was dustier than this year. I guess for whatever reason I may have been more prone to sickness this year, who knows.

Last year was much worse. This year I'm almost not even sick! Except for when I was chugging a beer walking to the gate, I wore a painters dust mask when trekking the campground.

This was my first Roo and first trip into Tennessee, my allergies were frucked up and did NOT know what to do. By Saturday and Sunday my sinuses exploded with pressure, coughing and post nasal drip. When I came home and went to the doctor he told me I had an upper respiratory infection.
Everyone feel better out there!! Get ready for next year~
Came down with an Upper Respiratory Infection on Sunday that I'm just now getting over. Had to leave for home during Bon Iver cause I couldn't breath anymore. Still the best Bonnaroo I've had.
I've had it but I'm on the upswing now. It felt like my face was going to hatch an alien for a couple of days. I've been coughing up grayish green lung cheese that I'm guessing is a mixture of phlegm and farm dust. The bitch of it all is every time I lay down to sleep it gets worse, so sleeping it off doesn't work.
i had something literally on the ride home. It felt like a stomach bug but that coupled with exhaustion a good night sleep def helped. I felt so much better the next day. My allergies were def in full swing I took allegra every day which helped. sorry to all who are sick
Just finally getting over the bonnaflu. I slept for nearly 48 hours straight. I had sore throat, cough, headache, body aches, you name it. It kicked in on the ride home.

After my horrible bonnaflu last year, I wore a bandana anytime I was walking around. I feel a million times better this year. Just a little congestion.
I found out I got strep throat once I was back. I started feeling sick sunday and only saw half of phish and felt worse the ride home monday. O well, bonnaroo was still worth it.
Funny thing tho, I was unable to meet up with a buddy of mine while at bonnaroo but we ran into each other at the hospital tuesday getting our bonnaflu checked out! I couldnt believe it, I was cracking up
