Coachellas EDM lineup is crazy this year. Im hoping 3/4 of their electronic acts come to Roo. A few are confirmed, a few havnt been announced anywhere. Deadmau5 is still an option. What about Girltalk? Hes nowhere to be found on the released lineups. Knife party would be amazing at the farm.
Very wishful thinking. Supposedly the Knife won't be hitting the U.S. until 2014.
Absolutely, I've been waiting for many years for them to come here. With them having a new album coming out this year, I'll always believe it could possibly happen if even a 1% chance.
Like I said, 2014. Some people on the Coachella boards e-mailed their agency, basically asking if the Knife would be playing in the U.S. in 2013 or if they needed to go to Europe to see them (trying to get a bead on whether they might play Coach) and the agency said they'll be touring the U.S. in 2014. So, you'll get your chance next year. Of course, whether or not they play any fests is another thing - its kind of a surprise they're playing these Euro fests, since they've always stated they hate large open air shows. Maybe they play these, realize they love playing fests, and keep on with the U.S. next year, but maybe they play these and remember why they hate it and you'll have to catch them in a club. Either way, you'll get your shot.
Haha that was actually an internet friend of mine. He told me all about it. He plans on going to Primavera. He's a nice guy.
If they need guidance on worthy EDM artists, please reference Waka's lineup.
I would say Coachella.
TNGHT, Four Tet, Simian Mobile Disco, Roni Size, Bauuer, Disclosure, Moby, Infected Mushroom, Jamie xx, Richie Hawtin, Booka Shade, Eric Prydz, OMD...and that's not even counting the "semi" electronic acts like Hot Chip, the 2 Bears, James Blake...f*ck, they did it right this year. Even the bigger/cheesier acts are about the cream of that crop.
I'd take Kaskade and Afrojack over most of em you mentioned. Especially Roni Size,Infected Mushroom, and Hawtin. Moby still does the damn thing so he gets a pass.
And yeah, Bassnectar.....i dig him....but overdone at Roo for the moment. PL? i'll pass. Aoki? wasn't worth a quack in the 90's why are people on his jock now? Guetta? meh.
Just sayin....gimme some house. Four on the floor bangin ass shit. is that too much to ask?

Hawtin is house. Maybe the best house show I've ever been to. He set at Moogfest was incredible.

I know....just never been a huge fan of his. Dunno why. But admittedly I've never seen him live and that could make a world of difference.
And Juggs....if I'm gonna off myself i'm not gonna use bleach. thats so ghetto.

I'd admittedly never heard of Etienne de Crecy before I saw his name on the Voodoo fest lineup, but I thoroughly enjoyed his set. Would love to see him on the farm. He's an old school DJ, described as house, but it sounded very techno to me.
