Your 2013 thread has been fine so far, but I feared a continuation of the behavior in the 2012 thread, where there was alot of outright mocking and belittlement of anyone who would speak out in support of Skrillex, Deadmau5, etc.
In the 2012 thread, such mocking and belittlement only occurred when people ignored the stated purpose of the thread and insisted on injecting Skrillex, etc. into the conversation. You really can't blame people for that - the warning was clear, and when it was ignored, sh*t got real.
So in other words you hate that there are two threads and everyone should just go back to using the other one? What if someone wants to talk about Skrillex or Mau5 etc?
EDIT Or we could just start using the thread that does not exclude bands from being discussed.

It's beyond obvious to me that when Laggy put "fun EDM" into the title of this thread that he wasn't saying that the other thread isn't fun, but that the reason people like theses bands that are excluded from the other thread is simply because they think they're fun. I feel like everyone is nitpicking over the pointless. There are two threads for two different general types of EDM. They are both fun. Who the fuck really cares that much?
really? this kind of robotic dubstep sound I've come to associate with American dubstep, whereas when I think british dubstep I think more grimey/dancehall kind of stuff, like rusko/caspa.
regardless its great stuff, very visceral. and it sounds great on my speakers. ;D
finally got around to watching these. bump worthy, everyone should check these out. postdubstep? rockstep? what is this? its awesome thats what it is.
I like the electronic at night when it isn't so hot. One big enough name to hold down the Which one night and a tent the other would be perfect for me. I'd love to see:

i agree with saturday having someone like Deadmau5 at the Which but i think they'll have at least one more kind of "dubstep" artist in place of Steve Aoki or Porter Robinson.
Maybe something like:
Friday LN Tents: Flux Pavilion or Bassnectar / Porter Robinson or Steve Aoki Sat LN Which: Deadmau5 / any other popular House artist

i just hope they have thursday night DJ's like they did this year with Mimosa and Big Gigantic. I had a ball at Mimosa. Great way to start out the fest

I think that is totally possible. I think that in 2011 they got the Which LN scheduling right. Something for the kids one night (Lil Wayne) and something for the festies (SCI) on the second night. I hope they keep that type of rotation up.
Why not something like Yonder Mountain or Allman's one day and Deadmau5 or Pretty Lights the next. Meanwhile keeping solid late night acts, both DJs, "jam bands" and surprise bands at the tents. That would totally keep the tents from being ridiculously crowded.

So did I! It was such an awesome set, and I'm glad I chose to go. Caught the last two songs of Big G afterwards and then went to see Cherub. Probably my fave night of Roo, and I was by myself for most of it.

Bill Nye actually spoke on campus while I was getting my masters. Exactly as advertised, he is very much a science guy.
I hope you were in the crowd that booed him when he said the moon doesn't actually emit light.
No but I graduated from Baylor which is actually in the same city as the community college where that happened. Who would have ever thought that small town Texas (the bible guy) and the science guy would get along anyways?

just saw a video from camp bisco 11 of zeds dead and i think they would be pretty fun in like the same slot as major lazer this year. idk thats just my input.
