If weird Al is the main comedy act (w/Tosh), why not more musical comedy - Bo Burnham, Stephen Lynch (new release Lion is great), Tim Minchin, Garfunkle & Oates, etc
so uh bonnaroo's site says the comedy tent is hosted by ifc. comedy bang bang, wkuk, portlandia, and arrested development all just got excitingly more likely.

I know comedy bang bang does some touring, portlandia toured in 2011 and I believe wkuk are currently touring or will be touring this year. Any of those and arrested development would be perfect.

I have heard that flight of the conchords is trying to come out with a movie and a soundtrack to go with it. It would be awesome to see them go to the farm.
I was about to come on and say The EarWolf Comedy Tent would make my dreams come true however the IFC Comedy Tent sounds pretty sweet too. Oh man, Comedy Bang Bang on the Farm would be so exciting. I am jealous of these SXSW guys getting these great Earwolf Shows particularly CBB.
Can someone explain the process to a first time attendee at how the comedy tent works, please? I read about people standing in line for hours to get tickets, etc... Is that just for the more popular shows? Do they let VIP in before anyone , etc?

You can get tickets for the show you want to see by standing in line. Get in line during the show before the one you want to see. After you acquire your ticket you are free to wander around till they start letting in for the show you want to see. VIP as far as I am aware doesn't get any special entry. Some of the more sought after performances have people lined up for quite some time. I have hit a few shows up Thursadys before. Never really had to wait in a line for any of them to get tickets but Friday and Saturday I have seen some rather long lines.

my advice on standing in line AFTER you get your ticket...if you are one of those people who wants to be towards the front near the stage, as soon as you get your ticket, stay there. There will probably be a line already starting or started for the next act.

The line for tickets for Aziz's first show last year on Friday was ridiculous. Depending on who is playing Friday afternoon, Tosh's line will be gigantic.
I hope they stop putting huge comedy acts in the comedy tent. It makes seeing people like Tosh an impossibility for me.
Getting that tent filled for every show means less people outside means smaller crowds. I think it makes sense that they put the big comedians in the comedy tent.
Tosh isn't Chris Rock big. And he's listed lower as Aziz was listed last year.
