Something like 12-1 late night Fri. or Sat. after a sh*t headliner while there’s uns uns on the Which would be perfect and I actually think somewhat realistic. With the way the undercard is already shaping up I’m expecting a ton of conflicts.
Their stuff is unreal and have quickly come one of my top 10. Pumped for the Athens show if anyone is going.
I could see them top 5 for 2014-15 festivals...
too far of a drive for me. I wish. Theyre not coming anywhere near Florida, which is the norm for a lot of acts (*%^^&*&$^$#%$565^%#$%$&%&fuck&%&$^%#$#$^
I can't imagine what conflict would realistically force me to miss this show.
If Tame Impala is in a tent before Macca comes on, Ill miss it. Wilco would be another conflict. Beck would be another. Other than that, I won't miss it.
Maybe this is just me but I saw them at Outside Lands in the daytime and the setting were perfect. This was before Lonerism so the hype was low and the crowd was on the smaller side. I just laid out on a blanket and chilled out to the grooves under that SF sun (fog). Now I can't even imagine them as an after dark show let alone late night! But hey.
This is looking pretty unlikely now cause they are in Europe. And I am sad.
Maybe but several bands did Primavara the week before Roo last year and were still there. I realize there is a lot more time between the fests this year. Just using it as an example because it's the same fests in question.
Take White Denim, for example. They were in Europe for a while up until their Primavera show. Did a couple shows and were back in Europe at the end of the month.

I.m gonna be super disappointed if they aren't at Roo this year. And I'm gonna be super pissed that for the second year in a row their agents told us they'd be at Roo and it turned out be untrue.

I think theres more than hope, you can go ahead make that a confirmation!
Absolutely love Lonnerism. I just picked up Innerspeaker too, but haven't listened to it yet.
What kind of show do they put on? A few people have mentioned them doing a late-night show, and that surprised me.
EDIT: Please don't answer this with a youtube vid. I can't watch it at work, and don't go on here at home, lol.
Their live shows are exactly like the album. The songs from Lonerism are more shaped (with true bridges and such) as to where Innerspeaker often gets into a single groove and rides it out over the course of the entire tune. The first album is really great. I haven't actually seen them perform anything from Lonerism yet. I also haven't seen them with the new drummer (old drummer switched to keys). Bass player is really fun to watch. They have great chemistry and it shows. I've seen them at night in a small club and daytime during a festival. Their music fit in great both times but I picture them more as a 2-6 tent act and I do kinda prefer them in the sunshine. They're the type of band that will be surprised by the Bonnaroo crowd and will feed off the energy. I met them in 2010. Really kind, humble dudes.
Pre Tame-Impala (Hopefully LN) meetup/cornfest anyone? Should we start a list, or group? It'd be pretty awesome to see this show with a big group of us.

Can't wait for this one. I really don't think they're going to be a LN, unfortunately. I'm picturing them being on right before the Which closer on Friday or Saturday.
