Looks like I called this one from earlier today. I figured as much with them playing Brooklyn a few days prior. I hope they have some new stuff to showcase.

Other than McCartney, quite probably my #1 must-see act on the bill. It'll tear me to pieces if they're the Friday Which closer before Macca (or if they conflict with the Jim James Superjam). But I would bet a lot of money on them being the Sunday Which closer. They're literally perfect for that coveted slot. Passion Pit would fit it as well, but not nearly as well as The National.

Definitely see them as the Sunday Which closer, but I too am fearing the dreaded Macca conflict. Honestly, if there was a conflict I'd probably see the whole National set and just see what I can from McCartney from the back.

Prior to the lineup dropping, I'd only heard a few National songs. Now that I've really listened to them, I'm totally hooked. They are now one of my most anticipated shows of Roo.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Let's compromise. Some spontaneous, free pyrotechnics during the Encore for Mr November.
Is wine flammable? If so, it might be a good idea to not have an open flame near Matt.
This.
Also, I think this may be my 10th time seeing the national too... ILOVETHEMSOMUCH
And I think that those of us in the pit/on the rail should get some wine to celebrate the occasion. I will bring my GoVino cup to make it official and drink with Matt in style.

The one thing that needs to be said, for people who have not seen them live, The National really kick it up a notch live! They really rock out on a lot of songs, and Berringer sings much more intensely live, with him often screaming some lyrics. It is such a great live show, with much more emotion in every song.

I really hope they play some of their older songs as well as the new album, i absolutely love it when Matt goes balls out on some of their older stuff.

Yeah, I am really hoping to hear Available, from that same album
Just got an email that the National are playing a free concert here (Dundas Square)......only to see the date, Friday June 14th, lol. My excitement was shot down quick, lol. At least I get to see them 2 days later at Roo.
Catching them here in Raleigh the Monday before Bonnaroo. That'll either clear up a conflict or allow me to see one of my favorite bands twice in a week. Which is alright by me.

I'm in the same boat, luckily. I'll be seeing them in Pittsburgh just a day before I head out to Bonnaroo. While I'd love to see them twice, if they conflict with David Byrne/St. Vincent I'm gonna have to go with them, that show's gonna be a once in a lifetime event (for me at least!)
i missed the 2010 show and now this is my #1 must see show (gaslight dopout), this will be year 5 but i feel like a rookie, is there a which pit and how do i get in it if they are there?
