I just put in a request to cancel a room at the Downtown Inn because somehow they still had the one I cancelled a couple months back still booked and I had two rooms (I didn't ask). Go Infomoogers. JUMP ON IT.
I just had a brilliant idea regarding costuming. Specifically for GL. Mister, you are sworn to wear the Roo-Tu I made for you at Moog this year, correct? We all decided it had to be as "hipster a tu as possible"... well. I think you should find yourself a clerical collar, and rock it with the tutu...

I figure a reference to the Smiths masked in a halloween costume is pretty effing hipster, as far as obscure references go. People would be all - oh that guy, he's a... priest ballerina? Then you could easily weed out the people who aren't cool enough to be your friend. If anyone actually got it, then you KNOW they're cool. See? Hipster.
(I had actually briefly considered doing this last year at Voodoo, then we decided against costumes. ...one day.)

Alright - I need to get a handle on the costuming! Here's what I've (kinda) got so far - definites are people who've said yes either here or in chat, and maybes are people who've expressed interest, but never said "yes".....
If you want in on anything, let me know. Ideally, I'd like to go for t-shirts in about 3 weeks - details on type of t-shirt so peeps can decide size, and name on the back, will follow soonish!

Mayo, put me as a definite on the t-shirt. Also, I got roped into participating in a regatta day at Clemson Univ, so I can't leave as early Saturday morning as I wanted to. Still planning on making it to brunch though, hopefully by 12:30-1:00 at the latest.

Yeah Bandeto I freaking LOVE the panda fusion shirt!
We're def gonna go with the long sleeve black and white baseball style tee. Inforoo names (or whatever name you like, really) on the back, and "Inforoo Panda Posse" or "Infomoog Panda Posse" or "Panda Posse, Moogfest" or something on the front upper left. We can vote on the wording whenever. I think Im going to call a couple of the places I've found and/or dealt with for custom shirts in the past, and see what I can work out. T-shirt style will be the same - but brand hasnt been decided. I want to keep it at $15 or less per shirt!

Quite possibly! Last year, they promised many of us two doubles, but only had the queen rooms available for us. I showed up to check into my room (not under my name, but I had the confirmation email), but they had no record of the room. Luckily, they did manage to squeeze us in!

k, well give me a day or two to decide, I really like that crazy tank shirt (obviously more then 15 - plus I don't want you to waste $$ since you are gracing so many with panda attire)!

Tragedy has struck. My sewing machine has stopped working. I've taken it apart as much as I can, and cleaned/maintained as much as possible... I think I may have to take it to a service center. I called the ONE Singer authorized place in ATL and the woman I spoke with said that it sounds like it needs "service" as opposed to "maintenance" and it would be $70!!! Im pretty sad panda right now. ...I think Im going to attempt to take it apart more and see if I can get it to DO WHAT I SAY! Everyone say a prayer that my sewing baby gets healthy!

well i know you told us supply costs were very low.
mayo, not sure i can speak for everyone else but i would not mind at all adding $5 or $7 to the cost of my hood to help you repair the sewing machine. i know that would at least get you 3/4s of the way there with the confirmed yes's.
edit: or even $10 added would still be cheaper than the one i was going to get off target.

mayo, not sure i can speak for everyone else but i would not mind at all adding $5 or $7 to the cost of my hood to help you repair the sewing machine. i know that would at least get you 3/4s of the way there with the confirmed yes's.
