So I figured I'd throw myself in here abruptly. I'm still considerin' Moog dependin' on how the next few weeks and my move go. My biggest concern right now would be a place to stay and of course I would throw dow if I can make the journey.

bandeto, i am wondering if the end of september comes near and no one has said anything, maybe just release the room? i know there are several people who have said they have an extra bed (or floor space if you are willing) in their rooms...would hate for you to get stuck with a whole room by yourself.
I was just thinking about this... earlier this year, when I was coming through Asheville on the way back from Kentucky (sometimes that scenic mountain drive is nice, even if it takes longer), I stopped at this restaurant that was a part of the Asheville Farmer's Market called The Moose Cafe. It actually kind of reminded me of the cafe in Twin Peaks, but this place uses all the good quality products that the farmer's market gets, and the food is absolutely reasonably priced. I was so impressed with this place... it really is one of the best southern style restaurants I've ever eaten at. I don't really know the proximity to downtown, but as something to do on the way in or out of town, I'd highly recommend it.

To avoid stones, please clarify "southern cooking" If you say, "I just don't like any of it bc everything is friiiiiied" I will stone you. If you say "I just don't like collard greens" then I will refrain from stoning.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEE collard greens. But I like them sauteed with a tad bit of olive oil, garlic and jalapenos. I don't like butter to touch my veggies, nor do I like them cooked in ham stock. I don't really like corn bread, biscuits, grits nor do I think gravy belongs on anything besides a turkey dinner. And it should be a thinner gravy. Nothing too thick. I also dislike sweet tea.

I think you can cancel right up until the day before, but I could be wrong. But good idea EAP.
To be absolutely honest, I work with my body for a living, and I really need to know what's up with my sleeping situation before I get down there. I'd rather eat the cost - have the room available to help someone else out or to have somewhere for folks to go. We may have a lot of Downtown Inn real estate but floor space can become limited quickly.. Thank you, I understand that I might eat the cost but I don't have a lot of creature comforts in my life already, a place to rest my head is really important to me

I'm just glad that you didnt make all of "southern food" only one item, or make all of "southern food" to be 'anything fried.' THAT thinking is infuriating. Though, I do think it's sad and tragic that you dont like butter to touch your veggies. I can understand not liking corn bread, biscuits, grits because no one 'up there' knows how to make them correctly. And thin gravy isn't actually gravy. So you can keep that one on your one turkey dinner. .......... I concur with everyone else on the sweet tea item.
We still love you Bonz!!! We just don't think you know how to eat properly.
