Oh my god, I fucking love this movie... haven't seen it in at least 7 or 8 years, but it's due another visit, as it could definitely make its way into my top 100 list.
Last night's episode was one of the best so far. You can see the pieces start to come together. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the season.
Haven't watched last night's episode yet. It's fucking weird so far, even for Twin Peaks. It has to start making at a least a little sense.
IMO there was more plot progression in last night's episode than the two previous ones combined. It sort of reaffirmed my excitement for the show, cause I agree its been fucking weird. But I'm back to being hyped now. haha
I got pretty excited when I first heard about it, with the original GLOW being some great cheeseball entertainment and there being some legit talent behind this and in some of the actors. Trailer looks like it could go either way, I hope the intent wasn't to make me laugh with the trailer because I didn't... but the subject is so insane I can't imagine it not being at least entertaining. I'll for sure watch the first few episodes just to see the general tonal direction. Alison Brie does look very well cast in this, though, as does Marc Maron, but IMDB only has him credited for 2 episodes...
Okay, two episodes in it's pretty dern good. Solid writing and low brow humor that actually works, but it also deconstructs wrestling tropes very well without being too heavy handed.
