I actually watched this for the first time last night. Being a fan of both Garland and Romanek I was shocked that this one somehow had gotten past me. Great film, and I really wish Mark Romanek would put out some more full length features (he's only done three that I'm aware of and I love them all, Static being one of my favorite forgotten 80s films).
Is this based on the novel by Ishiguro?
Edit: just saw it was! I will have to check this out.
How was Ritual? I like one or two of the actors and have heard mixed things but not sure if it's worth it to watch or not.
It's worth watching. The plot is a tad derivative but the performances are good. Can't really discuss the best aspect without giving anything away. It's best to go in cold.
I've hiked part of The King's Trail. It's a beautiful place.

If you watch it, let me know. I've low key avoided watching it because that book killed my emotions, and I am afraid I will get violent if the movie didn't do it justice.

1) I cannot believe I actually watched a movie in this genre before you. 2) Agreed on the recommendation. It's not essential viewing, but it's worth the time investment.

The punch was awesome. You could see it coming too.
I was going to say it's worth watching just for the creature design... but the movie doesn't outright portray itself as a creature feature. It's better not to say anything.
They should've put the director of this in prison for life.

This is a historical drama directed by the guy who brought us Robocop and Starship Troopers. It's about sang_xcx in a past life. When he was an expert swordsman that had a really fleshy chair?
Don't you have like 15 more hours of The Hobbit movies?
LOL. I actually finished last night.
Seen them all but I fell asleep in the theater during The Desolation of Smaug and have never rewatched it. It's crazy because I've read the books and watched the LOTR trilogy numerous times.

Yeah, I'm not sure why the Hobbit films fall so flat. They're fine but they come nowhere near the LOTR trilogy.

Any time I hear a line like "it's.. evolving" in a trailer I immediately think the movie is gonna be dumb as hell. I'd like for this one to be good, though.
