beebee I'm curious to hear your review for the strangers.
i really enjoyed the first one, but this was just fine. i didn't love the ending, and that part was pretty dragged out. it's nice and short though (especially compared to watching red sparrow a few nights ago), so a fun watch if you're not expecting too much.

“My kind of horror is not horror anymore. No one’s afraid of a painted monster.”- Boris Karloff, basically playing himself.
What really stands out is that this movie, inspired by the UT tower shootings, is 50 years old and NOTHING has really changed. You can walk into a gun shop and load up on guns and ammo, no questions asked, just like the killer here.
I watched the first 45 minutes or so on the plane yesterday. Enjoyed it so far for the spectacle if nothing else.
It's interesting enough visually. The characters have zero charm, though. It's not the bonkers kind of fun that I was going for a la The 5th Element but it's an okay diversion.
