Yeah they are refunding 1/3 of the ticket. Glad I didn't buy from a scalper. There weren't any aftershows for tonight. Hopefully a few of the bands scheduled for today will do something.
Why o why did I not know about this in time? I was already at Steve Aoki (met up some tomorrowworld crew), went outside to smoke at 8:30, looked at phone and saw the headlines. I left Austin Music Hall as fast as I could go, got in line, to no avail :-( Tried one more time an hour later, same results. Just enjoyed my time at Steve Aoki was what ended up happening. Not that it was a bad time, it just wasn't Atoms for Peace

I thought the Franz quote was funny though it sucks they were lead on and ended up at a lesser venue. I didn't try for AFP because there was a huge crowd at Moody before it was announced. Should have given it a shot since I'm sure it was epic. I ended up seeing Divine Fits and some of J.C. Brooks after Monday Night Football.
Is ACL always in October? I have a friend in Austin and would love to fly down and go with him but because I'm in school I couldn't this year. Still on the table for the future but it would be much easier if it were in the summer

Is ACL always in October? I have a friend in Austin and would love to fly down and go with him but because I'm in school I couldn't this year. Still on the table for the future but it would be much easier if it were in the summer
it has been in september before but never any other months besides those two. hopefully they are keeping it in october, weather will be not as hot.
Next year's dates have already been announced: Oct 3-5 & 10-12, 2014
Also, I've gotta give ACL props: even though Weekend 2 was rained out on Sunday this year, they promptly refunded $75 which arrived last week. I then bought more concert tix.
Bah ok well I'll keep it in mind and maybe in two years then. That's awesome about the refund though. Good to know they have good customer service. I probably would have done the same thing with it as you!
