i guess i don't see the harm in leaving the silent disco alone? making it bigger would be cool, having two DJs would be cool, but what is it really doing to harsh your buzz that would warrant scrapping it?

I could be wrong but I could see Phi wanting to replace it with an actual DJ/Dance tent. I'm fine either way.
if so, that's silly. it co-existed with the lunar tent.
I didn't go the year there was a lunar tent but wasn't it more of an open stage with a lot of sound bleed? I know there were some complaints about things like that. There may have been other problems with it that I'm not aware of.
Its hard to do an enclosed dance tent, because during the day the people inside it will die. And its difficult to pump AC in it all day and not have it packed out because people want the AC.

Electric Zoo tents get to be 120+ inside of them, and it's not like there's a lot of area to hide from the heat (it's about 40% grass and the rest is blacktop with rubber flooring under the tents). It could be done if it's just one tent, but it'd be packeddddddddddd with little idiots the entire day.
I personally liked the Lunar stage (except for that whole Green Day Rock Band thing). It was nice to have a place to go dance or just chill if there was no other good LN acts or after all the LN acts had ended. I would love for them to have it back if they could fix the sound bleed issues.

It's a step in the right direction. It'd keep late-nights less crowded and even if you have a Skrillex-type of big-name EDM act on the Which stage (cough*Deadmau5*cough), you can have something going on in the EDM tent that is a different sort of EDM for people who want something besides what's on a main stage.
I think it could work, but placement would play a huge role.

Facing it towards the fence might be a way to control the crowds for that stage. Personally, if I was planning it out, I'd probably use that same location but make it so the stage is on an angle, with the back of the stage facing the Which and the front facing This tent.
Move the f*ckin' comedy tent anywhere since it creates no white noise and an air conditioned tent will still attract people to it, and basically put the tent where the comedy tent is, only as far back into that corner as you can.

What is behind that treeline where the comedy tent was this year? Anything? Neighbors, houses, artists sleeping on buses? I can see a clearing there on google maps but I can't find any pictures showing if it's used during the fest.

Ok, so where that Guest Camping is, thats where the new open space is now.
I say we do this. Take the Comedy Tent and move it to where the food trucks/water park is now.
Then stick an EDM stage at an angle in that corner, and put the giant water slide and slip n slide just outside the EDM corner, since those are the kids that are most likely to use it, and be the hottest.
Once you have a complete EDM stage schedule during the day/night that will SO release some of the pressure from the crowds during the late nights and most popular tent shows.

There's yet another clearing south of this area which is the one I was wondering about. If there's still some sort of guest camping back there they're not going to set up a tent facing that way.

Guest camping is actually where the parking/security sleep along with a bunch of staff lots and trailers. . Were usually dirrectlybehind What tho.Between what nd which is artist hospitality seen/met a few artist nd comedians back there. The most open space is by the cinema tent if we can relocate that, face the luner towards the trees it will be fine. I say get rid of silent disco its a tourist trap in recent years nd when im raving i dont feel like being stared at by people surrounding the lil tent they got. Who goes to Roo to wait in lines??? Ferris wheel/silent disco are cool but ill never waste my time. Agreed big EDM acts are great but when the 1 or 2 of them are over, theres nowhere but general population by the vendors. A lunar stage would decrease overfill at atages/tents due to another possibleoption. Back in the arcade i seen people go in thursday night nd not leave till the music stopped sunday...great times

Regarding the EDM Stage I was told "Think outside the box, if we go the direction we're thinking it will blow peoples minds!"
There wasnt however a firm confirmation there will infact be an EDM stage.
