Have a new system for the pit to make it safer, my brother and his girlfriend almost got crushed during Radiohead.
It doesn't have to be a monumental change, just something simple to get people from getting hurt
The doors blew open on the pit at radiohead and packed the place with fence hoppers thats y RHCP pit was so hard to get into the made it strict after that fiasco...great show tho
Better phone reception, for the love of God, BETTER PHONE RECEPTION!!! Trying to get ahold of my friends and family that I was meeting up with was impossible. I didn't even get to see my brother the entire time because my calls wouldn't even go through

From what I've heard (read) that problem has nothing to do with Bonnaroo, and more to do with cell phone companies. I don't know the details, but I sure wish that was fixed as well. We have the technology for all of us to have a computer/phone in our pockets, but when too many people get together, none of them work??? Doesn't seem right in my head.

I have had little to no problems with texting throughout the weekend (when my phone has a charge) with Sprint the last couple years. Before that I didn't even really bother.

put almost 80,000 people using cell towers that are used to handling maybe 8,000. Text is the answer, better yet use a time system. I never take my phone into centeroo, rarely use it while I am there. I am there for the scene and music not to be on the phone. Establish a meet time at the fountain or someplace. The main inprovement I'd love to see is some video screens for at least some of the tents. Trying to get into Alabama Shakes or Umphree's was almost impossibile. Would be nice to have a screen outside the comedy tent too so if you didn't get a ticket inside you can still see it. I think it was smart to move Roo a week out, that means the NBA finals will be over. I know for some this is no big deal but I can tell you the Movie tent and the sports bars are packed and it takes forever to get in. Now they can show something different.
I tried calling and texting, but absolutely nothing went through. I have Sprint. In 2011, I didn't have a problem at all. They should have some sort of "message center" that you can check to see if anyone left you a message. It would be fun and maybe they could charge $.50 a message to go to a charity or something. I don't know how it would work, but I think that it would be cool
Something resembling public transportation more than the carts/cabs. It would probably reduce the amount of dust if we could get more people on less vehicles. And could reduce the cost for consumers. Seems like a no-brainer to me.

Did anyone else find there cell phone dying WAY WAY faster than it normally would off the farm?
Usually my cell at full charge lasts about 3 to 3.5 days from normal usage. I use it even less on the farm but it would be dead in less than 48 hours there after fully recharging it. ???

More room for car poolers! Roo is always pushing/encouraging people to carpool, but it is incredibly difficult to fit 15-20 people into 4 cars worth of space.

I agree, and this was put in the ear of people who do stuff. Fingers crossed

Agreed. Like CKS said this was a major thing that was discussed.
While the cell phone reception has become more of an issue over the years (at least in my case with Verizon) it's like others have already said. That much increased traffic is just too much fer the tower(s) that are there and is an issue fer the cell phone companies. I do hope that TO stops shrinkin' though!
I talked to some guys at Roo this year working for a phone company there. They said AT&T demanded that Roo pay for more mobile towers. The key lies with making AT&T aware via e-mail campaign or petition.
-Pay tours of the backstage / production areas. I'd pony up $25 or whatever to join a group that gets led through what's going on back there by someone knowledgeable, just so I could see how that stuff works.
-A list of Bonnaroo & Manchester's working radio frequencies so I could plug them into my scanner (maybe somebody on here already knows this?) This is geek stuff, but listening to the police late at night can be fun. And it'd settle a lot of the post-Roo discussion about exactly what the police presence was, what they were arresting people for, etc. Come to think of it, the local government frequencies ought to be a matter of public record; I should look those up. But what are the festival frequencies?
Edit: well, dammit..here's the RadioReference.com feed for the "Bonnaroo Command Post," but it's showing as not available for web streaming.
-A vendor catalog that's distributed ahead of time (PDF download would be fine.) Just a simple location and description of the licensed vendors/exhibitors would be great. I like exploring, but every year I hear about stuff I would've liked to check out but didn't know to look for.
-If Roo's going to charge $200 for an RV pass, for God's sake give us more than a square of grass for it. Full hook-ups aren't necessary, or possible, but it'd be nice if the pass also granted RVers access to some kind of amenity area or some token schwag or something. It's going to get to the point where it's a toss-up between GA RV and tent VIP by the time you figure the gasoline in. Maybe that's the point. But just because you own a rig doesn't mean you're made of money--our Class C is a late-90s model that cost us about what a decent used car would.

I very much like the vendor catalog. Even if threw that in with the map and schedule you get at the gate. Could help if you've got a mean craving or something.

I think it's good as well but they probably want people using the Bonnaroo app that had info and locations of most (or all) the vendors. A physical item would be much easier/better though.

Behind the scenes is nothing extravagant. Alot of golf carts nd vans flying around dirt roads, trailers for the parking/security teams, ppl directing traffic, see an occasional artist, tents and parking lots.
Yes this was discussed. I emailed the few contacts I have from years past. I didn't get a response for a bit and then the Groop Camp thing was announced. After that I got a reasponse saying that they wouldn't be able to give us a piece of land for inforoo. But there was an attempt.
