So pumped for my first time going! Most of my friends that are going are doing GA and keep telling me that VIP is lame and boring. Is this true? I think they are just mad because I'd rather have a guaranteed awesome time, that fighting long lines and such.

Krstphr, I saw Local Natives in Lawrence, Kansas 4/25 and Arcade Fire in Kansas City, MO 4/26. I noticed you saw both bands later the same week in back-to-back days. Interesting. Both did an outstanding job when I saw them!

Yeah, I did a 3-night run of Local Natives, Arcade Fire and Lana. All were amazing.
Good question. I don't think we have a Bounce artist like Big Freedia or Katey Red like the past two years. I don't know if you would call Elton or Frank Ocean's shows 'gay-oriented', although they do have some gay-themed songs like "Forrest Gump" and "American Triangle".

Some are speculating a surprise set (maybe by one of those two?) as part of the NOLA Bounce Party in the Christmas Barn. Sissy Nobby has never been to Roo, right? I don't know if there is any chance of such things, but it would kick the Bounce party up a notch.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
3rd year going, gonna be in guest/artist, anyone else? Also was gonna hit up the janelle monae set, figured that'd be pretty homo.
Completely random but your username made me think...any chance that in 2012 you happened to stumble by and hang out at the shade tent next to the Silent Disco around 5-6am-ish on Saturday after Skrillex and the Silent Disco wound down?
My friend and I were hanging out helping this random girl that was completely cooked and you came over and we had this really in-depth conversation and you told me you were on Inforoo and introduced yourself as "the cat". Oh well, worth a shot I guess haha.

Definitely down for a LGBT meetup at Bonnaroo. I was wondering if there would be some sort of gay presence given the scale of the festival. This will be the first Bonnaroo for my bf and me. We didn't do VIP this year, but will definitely consider it next year if we have a blast. It's an easy trek down for us from Nashville.
Despite the presence of the incredible Björk last year, this was the first Bonnaroo lineup that I personally could not resist. I've caught Janelle Monae, Elton John, Vampire Weekend, Skrillex, Chromeo and Kanye West before and all put on great shows. Some of the big artists I'm most excited to see for the first time are Jack White, Frank Ocean, Phoenix, Cut Copy and Broken Bells. I'm also stoked about catching some of the up and comers like Sam Smith, The Wild Feathers and Valerie June and hearing some new artists I've yet discover.
