Forecastle 2013 July 12th-14th

If a festival like Forecastle was anywhere near me, I don't think I'd ever miss it. Such a nicely run, laid back experience last year. I see lots of good on the lineup this year, but no trips for us this year (after Bonnaroo).

That setlist gave me a boneroo.

Their social media account mentioned more announcements for tomorrow. I'm guessing it will be the late night acts?

Saturday is pretty stacked up for my tastes. Will be interesting to see how they schedule that.

Did someone mention they are only going to have 4 stages this year?

With only 1 EDM act on Saturday, it doesnt look like we'll be seeing the Red Bull EDM Stage under the freeway again :-(

So with the announcement of the MMJ tour with Bob Dylan, and a third act (rumors saying Wilco)I went back to the MMJ forums to see what was being talked about and when talking about the dates someone mentioned it would be later this summer. Anyway, there is a rumor that the first date will be the second week of July and will be announced next week. Forecastle is supposed to be announcing remaining late night shows and possibly more information next week so it may just be coincidence but "fingers crossed".

Pre sale for late night sci today at 12pm est through sci ticketing. Anyone else plan on going?

I'll definitely be there! Went last year and had a blast (although I fell asleep on a bench in the VIP area and got a mad sunburn on my face). Really pumped for Big Boi, Animal Collective, Boys Noize, Flaming Lips, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, the Joy Formidable, El-P & Killer Mike and the Bourbon Lounge - I wasn't 21 last year.

I plan on hitting up the SCI LN, although my wife is not overjoyed about the prospect (She's not a jam band fan, in the least). Hence, there is a chance we may end up having an extra SCI ticket if she decides to punt that show and go to a DJ set or some other offering that night.
