Kind of disappointed nothing was announced today. I'd have thought they'd be anxious to get something out since the 3-days still haven't sold out after a month, but I suppose they're still working on a bunch of artists.
With all due respect, don't all of the Bonnaroo headliners (the top 10 acts) have festivals announced elsewhere (with the exception of Paul McCartney & The National).
Exactly. Almost no major act headlines just one festival these days, with rare exceptions at Coachella and Bonnaroo.
I wasn't meaning "exclusives" by any means. It just kinda sucks seeing 2 outta the 3 names when nothing else has been announced. I could see a lot of people saying just saying "f*ck it" and buying a ticket for Roo.
Also: according to the Forecastle Spotify playlist, Freakwater may be playing that. For the love of god P4K, please gimme Freakwater. It's been years since I've seen them and would love to again.
Foxygen tries hard enough on record. It's just embarrassing live.
I've seen this statement several different times. I don't get how it's a bad thing for a band to try. Unless you're saying they are trying too hard to copy a certain sound or style. I've also heard lots of negative feedback about their live show. I hope to find out for myself soon.
