There's a chance I will be there. My old roommate and her boyfriend go every year and have been begging me. It's only two hours away, but they go VIP RV so it's more money than I would like to spend on Bisco...

I've always wanted to go, but it's pretty far for me. With the biscuits only playing a handful of shows each year I really need to make the trek up there. Maybe next year.

I will throw this out here because it confused the sh*t out of me on facebook today. The people behind Counterpoint are running Bisco this year but said that they will start Counterpoint Northeast next year. Have they always done Bisco or is this the first year? Why are they helping run a festival this year that will be there main competition next year? Inquiring minds want to know.
MCP has always done Bisco. Their the same people in charge of Counterpoint, yes. Two seperate fests. And yes, rumor has it there will be a Counterpoint fest in NY this year.
What Phi has said. I haven't heard anything since the rumors first started. In fact, I was wondering if Bisco was being replaced this year by Counterpoint until I saw this poster. If there truly is another Counterpoint up here, it will have to be further apart timewise, because it would be the same crowd going to both...

You whores need to read your facebook more. Counterpoint Northeast will be next year not this year per Counterpoint's facebook.

I went to Bisco last year for the first time in a few years. My group was totally those people that showed up for the last night all clean well fed and not broke.
I love that sketchy little fest. But not for more than one night. My brain was a little broken.
Probably going to pass this year. But I'm glad it's still around and people still love it.

Counterpoint North will be in NY as well, however, it looks like its going to take place in the western part of the state to eliminate competition from EDC and Electric Zoo in NYC and Bisco in the Albany area. There has been talking about it happening near Niagara Falls to help capitalize on the proximity to Toronto, Buffalo, Rochester, Cleveland, etc.
Dave... I just realized that I never liked Counterpoint on FB, so no wonder I missed that.
I thought I heard rumblings of Rome which is where Woodstock was, but that's only like an hour and half from Albany.. hopefully there is more of a distance than that.

Anything close to Buffalo is ok by me. The closest fest I go to is Blue Heron. But it would be nice to have a bigger one near by. Even Bisco is 5 1/2 hours.
For anyone who ever doubted that the reason the jamband scene got so popular was because it encouraged copious amounts of dr*g use, just take a look at how that scene has completely morphed into EDM.

I always get sh*t for this but I've always enjoyed this festival. This years lineup is decent. I think I may hit this up unless Squarepusher is a late add at Bonnaroo (doubtful).
I don't think it's a possibility but I haven't looked at his tour dates. He's the real reason I'd go to the festival, the rest of the lineup is decent but he stands out huge. I had to miss his Philly show due to being sick so I'm hellbent on seeing him. My thought was just that if he ends up somewhere I'm already gonna be this summer, I don't need to go to Camp Bisoc.
So my older brother used to play for the Biscuits and is trying to get me and my younger brother on the guest list (not sure what the entails). What should i be expecting from this? Is it anything like Roo?? Crazier than Roo?? More mild than Roo?
I've been meaning to bump this for awhile. I think I am officially in for Bisco... The fest myself scares me, but I do love the lineup. (But Chicken, I have never been, so I shouldn't be the one responding to you)

As to what to expect. Think Bonnaroo Saturday morning at 6 am. All of the crazies that are up and wandering around. Times that by 10. A lot more crazy and a lot more sideways hats and baggy pants. And a few more big eyes.

Only 2 weeks away now! I went last year for the first time and I'm real hype to go again this year! The Bisco atmosphere really is like the bonnaroo late night vibe but with ten times the weirdness (which makes people watching all the more fun). I'm going with my same bisco crew from last year plus some of my roo crew who will be going for the first time. Can't wait, see y'all there!
