I hate to beat a dead horse but Outkast might be the only act that could have had this effect on me.
I can think of a few others but this one is actually happening. If we have to go to another fest to see Outkast we won't be able to afford to go to Roo.
Yeah understand there is a few for most people... Outkast is really my favorite hiphop artist/group ever though. I listen to Aquemini/ATLiens almost weekly and HAVE to see them. Not to mention they're semi-young yet still somehow elusive. I honestly never thought there would be a chance to see them before they were both 60 years old.

I've been listening to them for the entire 20 years and have never seen them. I've had this happen with a few other bands but in those cases Coachella was always my only option. With this at least there are other options.

Haha thats awesome. I'm younger and really only started listening 5-7 years ago (probably why I'm STILL blown away by their first four albums). I will see them this year no matter what due to the amount of options but I just hope it doesn't come at the expense of missing Roo.
I think my boyfriend and I are gonna go to 'Roo, and then just get day passes for Firefly once they come out. I definitely couldn't afford both for the whole weekend plus all of that time off work, but I've gotta see Outkast

I feel the same way. I'm only 25 but have been listening to OutKast since I was little kid. Not seeing them this summer isn't an option so I'm considering Big Guava or Firefly but it'll take some serious financial negotiating.

Is Outkast 100% ruled out and why? I live in Florida, so if they arent gonna be at Roo at least Big Guava fest is going to have day passes. I guess I will have to see Outkast this way
Looking at going somewhere else this year. Outkast is a must see for me.

I'm in the same boat as you guys. I can't go to every festival I want and was counting on Roo to get them. May have to do day passes for Counterpoint, unfortunately, if that is what it comes to. I was hoping they would fill the gaps between festivals with arena shows, but that doesn't seem to be happening.
Can somebody link or tell me the name of this Polish festival that they are playing? I can't find it anywhere. Also, is there somewhere that says they are playing Sunday or is that just speculation?
If Outkast isn't at Bonnaroo, I'll be super bummed. But knowing that Forecastle is hinting in a big way that Outkast will be there, I might just do a day pass for when Outkast will be there and still make it to Bonnaroo. However, Outkast wins over Kanye any day. That is a fact.

1) They are in Poland that Sunday 2) They are likely headlining Forecastle (which is also booked by Superfly and doesn't tend to share headliners) 3) Kanye is most likely headlining Bonnaroo and the odds of two hiphop acts of that size in the top 5 or 6 is unlikely.
Hopefully single day tickets for Big Guava will be around for at least a week (they go on sale Saturday).

Big Guava it is!
Wow, actually after looking at Fridays lineup, there is no way im driving up for that.. If anything I'd go Sunday.. Its by Far the best day!! By Far..But I think Bonnaroo will get most of those acts so Im good. Maybe I'll do Counterpoint again...

Yeah, that lineup is garbage and it looks even worse split up over 3 days. I wouldn't spend $65 + fees for Outkast, Cake, and Sleigh Bells.
I'm going absolutely nuts with excitement over this reunion, and I've been doing daily digs for any sort of info as to what they'll play. Unearthed some pretty good shit!
Far from guaranteed, but groovin' to Spottie would just about make this the best summer ever. CANNOT WAIT for this Coachella webcast to see what they've got in store.
I've got Forecastle locked down, and just picked up some tickets in the pit for OVO Fest, but I'm strongly considering adding a third show to further my Summer of Outkast. I don't think I've ever been more excited for a reunion tour.

How much was the Toronto ticket? I've only seen ones on craigslist at 3x face value.

Keep checking StubHub -- for the Drake day, tickets are insanely priced, but there are some reasonable (and GREAT) Outkast tickets available. I got one GA PIT for $150 and one for $180. There are also seats in the 200 section for $180-$190ish, which is just about face value when you consider it was $350 for a two-day pass in those sections.
I didn't realize outkast was going to be at OVO. I'm not a big drake fan, don't hate him just wouldn't consider myself a huge fan. But Outkast & The Weeknd would be worth a trip to Toronto for. I'm assuming its another hotel type deal though right? I can't swing that. Would be nice though.
I know I can't be the only one around here freaking out over this tour, so rather than bogging down other threads with my Outkast fanaticism, I thought I'd fire up this thread for all your Outkast freak-out needs.
FIRST UP:
According to an interview with Big Boi in the Hollywood Reporter, they had to cut FIVE songs from their first Coachella set. Two of them being "Player's Ball" (expected) and "Chronomentrophobia" (!!!!!!) -- an Idlewild gem that features one of Andre's most underrated verses. They also soundchecked "International Players Anthem", so I'd expect to see that at some point this tour.
The duo may vary their setlist slightly from last Friday, but seem eager to continue revisiting both Outkast songs and solo material during these upcoming shows. “It might be slightly different,” Big Boi says of this Friday’s performance. “What happened was our set got cut by like five songs. We had to cut ‘Player’s Ball’ and ‘Chronomentrophobia’ because of the time constraints. But there’s probably a couple songs [fans] didn’t hear then they’re gonna hear this time.”
I'm planning to hit several shows throughout the summer, so this news that they'll be switching up setlists gets me TREMENDOUSLY PUMPED.
9 days until I witness the Outkast reunion. Really hoping reports out of Coachella tonight are more positive than last week. I watched the first half of the performance and thought it was great. Didn't see the part of the performance that everyone disliked. The Future plug isn't going to happen anywhere other than Coach.
