Have you seen the Both live? Wondering if they do any Ted Leo songs.
I haven't. Pretty sure they do mostly The Both songs. Fingers crossed for a few Leo songs as I have heard they do "Voices Carry".
E: Oh man, I screwed that quote up.
I'm already going to be feeling all the feels because of Neutral Milk Hotel. If The Both plays "Voices Carry", I won't be able to handle it. In a good way.

Bloodbuzz Ohio nearly got to me last year.
but this year, it's gonna be Noel playing Half the World Away and Don't Look Back In Anger that's gonna make me cry.

Oh all of The National's set got to me. Easily the best National performance I've ever seen.
I wonder if they will sell more, less, or about the same tickets with the venue change? I'm not sure how Atlantic Station and the new park compare capacity-wise.
Can't find it now but somewhere on Facebook Shaky Knees said they'll have the same number of tickets (I think 20k) as last year.

You were mistaken. They said they sold 22k early bird tickets.

Do festivals every really truly sell out though? To be honest? I mean Bonnaroo always says it does...and then like the week of it's always like "GA TICKETS ON SALE FOR A MILLION DOLL HAIRS" "SINGLE DAY PASSES NOW". Or something like that.
I don't think Shaky Knees sold out last year. Not sure, though. Only bought a single day pass to see Modest Mouse. This line-up looks way more stacked this year, though. I'm going to be waiting at 9am tomorrow to try to get a couple of passes.

Experienced the same emotions half way around the world at Primavera Sound in Barcelona. When Justin Vernon came on stage to perform Slow Show with The National I don't think I have ever gotten a chill that could match it. Him singing "I missed you for 29 years" had me in tears.

It didn't. They were still passes at the gate throughout the festival.
Ugh. I really am going to miss being able to leave the festival and walk to a bar for cheaper drinks or to Publix for a sub. Farewell Atlantic Station. We hardly knew ye.

Some do, like Coachella (at least weekend one) and Newport Folk Festival.

Well, this is what they said on Facebook, "We are still going to be a very good size, not like we sold 20k early birds or something crazy like that" but I suppose they could have lied.
oh, this ship has sailed for me. They already hate me, so I feel like I can't really make it worse. Right now I'm looking at SK, Nelsonville?, Roo, Firefly?, Forecastle?
Ok as everyone else has said. HOLY SHIT. This lineup is incredible. I love this festival. I know it's kind of a niche thing, but I love the hell out of this niche. They are broadening it a lot more this year though. Last year right after the fest they asked people who they wanted to see next year. You know how fests do that, but never really pay attention? It's like they took that list and booked all of it. It's amazing and refreshing. I'm definitely more excited about this than roo. I mean, overall roo is still a better fest, but holy shit my excitement level on this one is through the roof. I don't think there's a band on the lineup that I wouldn't see and they've done it all 3 years of the fest. BTW I think I'm responsible for Mastodon and Clutch happening, I definitely put it on my list when they asked last year, along with a lot of this other stuff.

Very impressive, It's going to be sad to tell some of my friends that I won't be at Purple Hatter's Ball. Scrog. This is as stacked of a lineup as I've ever seen for a festival this size.
Seriously, I am almost thinking of saying "QUACK IT" and not walk for James Madison University's graduation just so I can road trip down to Atlanta.
I didn't walk for my bachelors or masters degree. It's not like they hand you that really expensive sheet of paper there anyway, they mail it to you later.
