Overall, I'm pleased with this. Really glad Noel Gallagher is playing on Saturday. Surprised Tame Impala is closing the fest, but not upset with it by any stretch.
Friday is still my most packed in day for my taste. Hope TV on the Radio or Kaiser Chiefs does a late show.
I thought Friday was my most packed day too until I really looked at Saturday. There are only 7.5 bands I DON'T want to see on Saturday. I'm going to have to make some tough decisions there.

How did you get a .5?
I'm fairly neutral on The Black Lips. I'd like to see them, but the wouldn't win out in a conflict.
Am I just blind, or do I not see Asgeir anywhere on the daily breakdown?
EDIT: I'm not crazy, right? I could have sworn he was on the original lineup announcement and now I'm not seeing him.
I noticed a few weeks ago that he got dropped, not sure why.
The main problem about Friday is that the music starts at 12:30 and my hotel's official check-in time is 3:00. Hope they can let me check in early.
Damn, that's my issue too. I was going to call ahead and see if I could check in early. If not, I'd have to leave the fest and then come back. I think my check in is at 3:00pm as well.
They'll more than likey let you drop your stuff off and "check in" early, but not actually give you a room until you came back that night. You won't be the only people in that situation. Just call ahead.

He is now opening for alt-j in Australia
That's probably a better career move for him, I'd argue. Sucks because I was looking forward to seeing him again. I wish I could have caught a show when he still performed his songs in Icelandic, but the days of that happening are probably gone now.
Last year they had no conflicts with the headliners. Decent conflicts right before them though.
If I was attending, Avetts closing unopposed would give me a jump start on Saturday night's after shows.
Exactlyyyyy
oddly enough, as all this new starts, I'm watching a movie and one of the characters comments to another how he pictured him incorrectly. He thought he was some bland guy but it turns out he is "cooler than the lead singer of the Strokes or something!"
Ever since I was 14, I've had this need to see Flogging Molly. This is the first opportunity I've had to actually see their madness in person - now I'm worried that they are gonna clash with something else I can't miss like NMH or Interpol.
I'm kinda glad that tame impala is the top name on Sunday. I'm not a huge huge fan and don't mind leaving a little early to beat the traffic. I don't hate them, they just aren't a must see for me.

Whatever floats your boat, but I think you may be the only person from inforoo doing that. Have you ever seen Tame Impala live? If not, I'm here to tell you they are flawless and amazing and I'm basing this off of back when their stage production wasn't so extravagant. So it'll be even better now with a stage setup deserving of their show
If it's setup the way it was last year you're not going to miss any of the bands at the top of the lineup. They had stages side by side, when one ended the other started. The only conflict is if you want to leave to see a smaller band on one of the smaller stages. But the real conflict will be on Sun. trying to decide which stage to get rail for. Tame Impala>Ride>Spiritualized or Ryan Adams/OCMS.

I think I'm a little more excited for this than Bonnaroo music wise.

I have seen them live and enjoyed the show. I realize my views on this matter are not going to be shared by many people around here and am fine with that.

They will hold your luggage there before check in. Tell them you will be back at midnight for your room. They have your credit card number, so it's not like it's a problem.

Me too, because I'd really like to see them play more than a 40 minute pre-headlining show. I had kind of wished that the Avettes were closing it down so I could get out early.
