I don't want miss Surfer Blood, but that is a crappy spot. 12:30 on opening day, for a half hour. My bus gets into Atlanta at 10:30 Friday morning, I will have virtually been on it all night. Prob going to opt to sleep until 3 or so.
Glad I decided to get PTM tickets when they came out. Thought about holding off and saving a little money until later, knew in the end though I would plan on going.
In a similar boat, I went with the opposite logic. My bus gets in at 10:30 too, after a 13 hour ride. But I can't miss Black Pistol Fire at 1:00, so I'll swing by the hotel, head straight to the fest, and skip PTM that night to crash. Hard. But who knows--if I'm not wobbly, I might look for a PTM ticket that evening anyway.
Ugh, I have a 13 hour bus ride too. I am not looking forward it. I'm probably going to take some NyQuil and just try to sleep the whole time. Can't decide if that's a brilliant idea or a terrible one.

I am gonna draw so much on your face when I get on at Knoxville.

I haven't been paying attention to this thread as much as I should considering I'm going. Are we doing any kind of meet up or something? If so, I'm hoping I can make it - I'll be with the lady friend and her little sister, though, so my schedule will most likely be dictated by them.

It got brought up, but I don't think anything was ever decided.

I've brought up having some kind of pre-game before Spiritualized, but nobody has really seemed interested. If we was going to do a brunch of some-sort, I think Sunday would be best.

To elaborate on what Dave Maynar said, it was discussed and we decided that everyone is lazy.
I'm all for a meet up. But I can't guarantee my presence anywhere before noon. And that may be pushing it. I promise to make an effort though.

What time does Spiritualized start agian? Will there really be enough to for a "pre game" type deal? With that being said, we're both going and I fully intend on making a pit stop back at the room to drink for cheap before heading back out. I'm also staying for all of Avetts, which is why I think I'd be crunched for time. They don't finish till 11.

I said we would all just be lazy and not do it, because that's what happened last year. We planned one and we didn't do it.

Son of a Beek, they sent out an email today about wristbands. Apparently, it depends on when you ordered yours. I'd post more details but I'm on my phone.

Box Office
The Shaky Knees Box Office will be located at the Atlanta Civic Center at the corner of Piedmont Avenue and Ralph McGill Blvd.
The box office will be open for wristband redemption and ticket sales Tuesday May 5 thru Thursday May 7 from 10am-8pm, and on festival days Friday May 8 to Sunday May 10 beginning at 9am each day.
We strongly recommend redeeming your ticket for a wristband in advance. This will speed your entry time into the festival. You will be able to park for free Tuesday thru Thursday while redeeming your wristband.
Getting to Shaky Knees
We highly recommend that you take public transportation, Uber, or a taxi to the festival. All of these services will be able to drop you off very close to the entrance of the festival. Check out the Getting There page for more information on how to get to the fest!
MARTA Marta is your best route for public transportation. You need to take the train headed South or North and get off at the CIVIC CENTER or NORTH AVENUE station.
TAXIS You know the drill here, call your preferred service and they will get you dropped off close to the entrance. There will also be a taxi stand with taxis waiting after the event each night.
UBER Uber is another great option for getting to and from the station. Download the app at uber.com
PARKING Parking is not available onsite at Shaky Knees, but there are many paid parking lots in the area. CLICK HERE to find parking decks in the area with pricing and info. (Please note that the Civic Center parking lot will be in use for the festival grounds)

Or he can just read the email.
I am well aware of that, pumpkin. I just wanted to make sure he knew about it, andi felt out prudent to explain why I didn't just tell him here rather than make him search for the email.

I know you're in a contest with Steph for most helpful person in the universe. She wins.

Did you get a good deal or something? Or did you just not want to use TM?

This is really fuckin' cool and all, but I hope they manage to squeeze in some songs from other albums.

So, my ticket was purchased on the dates that it should get delivered directly to my house... So, if the ticket doesn't arrive by the time I leave for the fest, I'm fucked? And there's nothing I can do... Why the fuck would they send them so the arrive the week of the festival, leaving no room for error in the shipping process. I'm pretty pissed that the tickets won't be here by April 30th (like they clearly said it would) because that's gonna fuck up my travel plans because I was supposed to leave town Tuesday and it get up to ATL on Thursday but now, I'll likely have to wait for the ticket to arrive. Actually, if it isn't here by Tuesday, I'm gonna to call and just complain and tribute it out because I WILL be leaving as I previously planned and I'm not changing it just because they said the incorrect date for their shipping deadline.

This will be fun. Have to make the game-time decision to leave early to get a good spot for Noel Gallagher or stay for it all and take spot in the back for Noel.

I'm not sure. I won't stay for all Avetts, but then again I'm really excited for The Strokes and prob won't stay for all of it. I'm not leaving The Pixies early, which means I will be in the back...plus I don't feel like fighting the crowd out of the park knowing that I'm trying to make a late show happen.
it sounds like the best solution is an after party...

Yep, I will be watching just about all of the Strokes but I won't be watching any of the Avetts
