Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
The shifts aren't hard at all and chances are you will be volunteering in Centeroo. You will leave with money in your pocket and an amazing experience.
I admit that the scheduling is kind of effed up. But it was last year too.
Seriously, you singed on for something. You agreed to the terms. A lot of the festival runs smoothly because of the volunteers. If people just stop showing up, then there is going to be a domino effect.
Just do it and enjoy yourself, and when you leave you will know that you had a part in making the biggest and best festival in the US happen.

I'm still waiting on my ticket in the mail from Clean Vibes. I hope it gets here today or tomorrow. I don't wanna have to go into Monday or Tues. wondering if it's gonna get here in time.

I really wish I could but that's just not the experience I'm looking for. The money is not a problem for me at all, I have no problem eating the deposit fee.
My original thought was, "Wow, it'd be cool to volunteer pre-festival at Bonnaroo, get to chill there a few extra days before hand, and get a free ticket."
Trust me, I know the great feeling of being a part of a big festival in actual working. I've worked four major festivals before. Bonnaroo is a time for me to go enjoy music as a fan, and the possibility of missing any band to me is not worth working the shifts.
Call me ignorant, a baby, a whiner, but I really just don't see any other option. When I signed up to do this I remember thinking, "hmm I only checked off the box that says I want to work pre-fest, it would make no sense for me not to get it, but then if I don't...I'm not volunteering during the fest." Of course I feel bad about it, when I worked festivals in the past it was organizing volunteers, ironically. Volunteers truly are the backbone of festivals, without them they couldn't function.
I don't see my decision creating a domino effect. What if I had gotten sick and couldn't show up to Bonnaroo in any capacity? Would my deposit be refunded? I don't think so.

I got my ticket from CV's on Thursday..you might want to contact them.

Whatever dude.
If money wasn't a problem then you should have bought a ticket and let your wasted spot go to someone who actually needed/wanted to work this.
Sorry I just have a problem with people that don't care.
any toll booth volunteers out there want to guess as to how much space we will have at our campsite? i'm thinking we might have some extra room since there will only be a limited number of people camping there...i will probably stay at the toll booth all weekend, seems like a lot shorter walk than reg volunteer camping
^^across bushy branch rd next to camp allison reynolds...not too far of a walk, but not a short one either
is it the same location as last year or do they move it around? nevermind, I just saw the 2010 map, looks like the same place as last year which was not a far walk at all, imo and I'm old!, I did it back and forth a few times a day last year. you young'uns should be able to sprint it it did suck big time in the thunderstorm last year though
see y'all tomorrow! i'll be checked in and be set up this time tomorrow, probably enjoying a cold one...what time are all the toll booth vols getting there? i only live about 15 min away so i will probably be checking in around 8...can't wait til this weekend!!

Im most likely volunteering again. Did toll-booth last year and it was well worth it. Got there on wednesday, did some busy work around the farm for about 4 hours then worked a 8-10 hour shift on Thursday night so finish out my work. Working thursday night = worth getting fri, sat, an sunday for free IMO

Is toll booth always pre-fest then?
I was planning on applying pre-fest just so that I could see the whole festival this year without interruption, and my understanding has been that since I'll be a returning volunteer this year, that I may actually have a shot at getting what I request.
The options for volunteering, as I remember them, are prefest, during fest, toll booth, and post-fest (clean-up). I'd least enjoy clean-up, and most enjoy whatever I can do to avoid working during the festival itself. Does anyone have any insights as to what the other options look like? Last year I was during fest.

I sent in my $30 deposit information to Clean Vibes this morning Does anyone know if this means I am now guaranteed a ticket? I'm kind of confused and freaking out a bit with the way these tickets are selling
i did toll booth last year. got there wednesday morning and was scheduled to work all night wednesday (about 10 hrs.) and then a 4-hr shift thurs night (8-midnight). didnt really do anything for the first 7 hours wednesday night, even got to nap, then parked cars for about 2 hours...same thing thurs night, didnt have any work for us to do so they let us go at 10...i was free for the rest of the festival and didnt have to get there on monday like pre-fest vols...not to bad for a free ticket
i am buying my tix this year though. it is my wife's first time on the farm, and i dont want her to have to worry about what she was going to do while i worked. i have worked the past 2 roos, and would definetly recommend it to anyone.

That sounds like BS. Why did I get put on during-fest trash can babysitting on the CV team when I applied through WET if CV has their own application? Not fair sticking me with garbage when I technically didn't apply for them at all!

I sent in my $30 shipping/admin fees also and from what I gathered the $30 guarantees you spot. So yes, you are guaranteed a ticket by paying those fees, but you still need to make sure to put down the refundable $250 deposit in May
