Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
If I'm remembering correctly, last year I saw volunteers in RVs get turned away. I think you can join your non-volunteer friends in their RV when it opens to patrons, but don't think they let you take it into the regular volunteer area...but no promises on that...and that coulda just been the tollbooth volunteers for all I know. I didn't seem to see a single RV come in that way during volunteer arrivals.
You will not miss any shows as a Pre-Fest volunteer because your last shift should be completed by Wednesday night.
Toll Booth Volunteers work until some point on Friday.
Thanks my good sir.
This is through WET, correct?
Maybe. No guarantee W.E.T. will be coordinate volunteers for 2012. I noticed they are not involved with Coachella or Stagecoach this year. Just check the Bonnaroo volunteer page for updates bonnaroo.com/get-involved/volunteers/
WET *is* doing volunteering this year. www.workexchangeteam.com/ They listed Roo on their list but no current app up just yet, but info form to get info when it is posted, I believe.

I concur, after emailing them:
Hey Brian. We are definitely going to be doing WET at Bonnaroo. We are really looking forward to it.
Thanks! Shannon

Thanks Ellie and Travelinbeat. W.E.T. added the Bonnaroo link to their app list since my post last Saturday and I'm glad they are doing it again this year!
Look, I have volunteered pre fest the past 3 years.
I have brought an RV every year. But every year they told me I couldn't.
Look at the it this way, the people checking in volunteers have little, to no communication with the actual security that guides us into the camping area.
If you have any worries just PM me, I can guide you through the process.

If you have questions about volunteering with CLEAN VIBES for during and post show positions, please email INFO@CLEANVIBES.COM or call us at 828-468-VOLS!
Clean Vibes and the Work Exchange Team are separate entities and Clean Vibes handles all clean-up, recycling and compost areas of the event.

Hello all!! I am first year bonaroo-er but have a few friends who have gone the past couple years. I am wanting to volunteer but have not been able to locate the volunteer application form! My best answer is (after reading a few threads from past years) that the applications for volunteers don't start until sometime in march/April? I was just hoping someone could give me the low down as I would hate to miss the opportunity!!! Thanks

All that is correct! You're best bet is it head over to Work Exchange Team ("WET") and signup for their email notifications for Bonnaroo. They will keep you informed about dates and deadlines and applications and all that. Another thing I would advise you to do (having done it myself prior to my first year volunteering) is to bookmark this thread and read the ENTIRE thing. There's a ton of useful information that already been posted and tons of questions that have already been answered. Just read a like 4-5 pages a day and you'll be all caught up in no time!
Just signed up to volunteer with Clean Vibes post-show with a friend of mine. This will be our second year at Roo and first year volunteering and we can't wait. It's also nice to not have to worry about getting tickets before they sell out.
So this might be a silly question, but I'm a total noob when it comes to volunteering.
I've just filled out my volunteer profile at Clean Vibes' website and I want to sign-up for the post show volunteering. Do I just pay my $281 and that ensures I get a spot as a volunteer? Or do they have to approve my application? Also, the website says some benefits may be included depending on the event. What are the benefits for Bonnaroo (other than the free ticket, lol)?
Hey is anyone here driving to Bonnaroo from the southeast? I'm trying to catch a ride I stay in Atlanta. If you were volunteering for WET as well that'd be even better.

If you put down a deposit with Clean Vibes, you are guaranteed the spot you have registered for - we stop taking deposits when all the spots are full. Benefits are listed on the event listing of the database.

So i know priority goes out to all of the veteran volunteers before applications can be submitted by people without experience. And that the most desired spot is pre-fest. has anyone heard of a handful of people getting pre-fest spots without volunteering previously? It's def what i want to go for. I have plenty of volunteer experience just not with Bonnaroo, but I have been and i know what to expect.
I was a first time pre fest in 09. But that wasn't with WET.
The only thing I can't stress enough is to apply as soon as the application is up and pay your deposit the moment it becomes available on the WET website.
Also keep checking WET because there are always a number of people that apply and then can't do it so their spots become open to the next in line. And there are also veteran pre festers that decide not to do it the following year so their spots then become available to the next in line.
Just out of curiosity, is there anyone that is volunteering by themselves? I'm from the Franklin area and none of my friends are interested in coming this year. I knew that it wasn't going to be as fun without my friends, but I really wanted go this year. Any input from past volunteers about whether you think that it's worth it to go by myself?

I've been to two Bonnaroo's "by myself," and I volunteered for both of them. I put that in quotes because solitude is a hell of an odd thing at Bonnaroo, especially amongst volunteers. While I did spent both of those 'roos down on the farm without any friends from home, I certainly made friends, and I didn't feel alone or by myself at ALL throughout the festival. Carpooling is a great way to meet people too, as is this message-board. This year I've finally convinced about 10 friends to come to Bonnaroo, so while I will technically be volunteering alone, I will have friends coming to the festival. Personally, I think that friends at home are great, but friends at roo aren't really necessary-- you should be MAKING friends, that's a huge part of the experience!
