haha nic...i'm actually working this Saturday hanging signs on the portos for a GA bracelet...kinda nice, free ticket and don't even have to work during the fest...i volunteered in '09 and it was the best camping, right across the street from family camping (camp the geek on your map), straight shot to the ferris wheel entrance, plus we didn't even get searched when we got there, just drove right in and pretty much picked our own spot with as much room as we needed...that was pre-WET...
sidebar, just sent you a private msg about who they are working with...if you need any more volunteers for any shifts, i have 2 friends wanting to work for a day...they are very reliable too and we live in Estill Springs, so we're local...
Hi Everyone!! Just excited about working at Roo. I'm Ellis. Hope I meet some of you, I'll be on the WET side. Doing during fest and have no clue what the work will be...
Got 1 last email last night. Nice training video on Vimeo linked in there... Also, I guess 4pm deadline for tollboothers was a typo. Went back to 10am-2pm.
I'm volunteering with CleanVibes post-fest and just got an email saying that my wristband was cancelled. Kind of freaking out right now, not sure what's going on.
Hey! I'm showing up on tuesday to check in and set up but my friend is coming in on wednesday or Thursday. He want me to save the spot next to mine for him. My question is if that's considered kind of rude or if it would be OK. Any insight?
48 hours from now I'll be at Roo!! Sorry, had to let that out of my system!
Don't freak out - a weird email went out to the Post Show Volunteers but in no way are your wristbands canceled. Rest assured, we will get to the bottom of this in the morning.

Just got my deposit refund and email-- SSOOOOO fast this year! $310 in the bank 8)
I was offered a job at All Good this year with the crew I was volunteering with through WET-- looks like this whole volunteer-your-way-into-a-paying-gig thing might work after all! Anyone else headed out to Ohio next month? =)
I had a great time volunteering. I got to work in Artist Hospitality and Catering. I got to meet John Paul White while I was bussing tables! I met tons of new friends too!
Pre-fest was kinda tough, but I think it was worth not having to miss any shows. Although I was running out of gas by Sunday since that was my EIGHTH day on the farm.

Volunteered the post-show clean up. WOW am I tired, just got home yesterday. Although I was nearly in tears by the 10th hour of day one of cleaning up bags of poop and other yummy things in the hot sun, I actually loved the experience. Feels great to work so hard for such a great festival and meet amazing people doing the same. Will definitely be volunteering again but maybe toll-booth or something less harsh on my Irish skin ha.
