Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Guess ill just stick with the standard Chronological order since I can't DL Holy Fire until tomorrow. I know I've heard of these guys before, but they don't sound like what I had thought. Good shit!
Definitely start with Antidotes guys. I've been hooked since that album was released (even Santana-esque vibes on some of it...funky, chanting brilliance). Tight band and a great live show. I'm a sucker for delay and melody and they use both wonderfully.

Yeah, I'm really enjoying my first listens of Antidotes and Total life forever. So far I can agree with you jugs, Antidote is the better album, but TLF has its moments that grab you. There's soo much I like about them, but I find myself focusing on the drums and bass the most. Very solid band. Which or late night tent?
They're better than most of your favorite bands and they're playing Bonnaroo this year. Discuss.
Well, they are one of my favorite bands playing this year. I've actually never listened to anything past their debut album, but I used to get down to that one all the time. I'll have to give their newer ones some play. I assume (without yet having read) this thread is active because everyone else saw their tour dates that puts them in the right area at the right time for Roo...
Also jugs had been hinting Roo clue #9 had to do with horses all along. Not to blow his horn or anything (tho I have been all day ), but it's pretty much a lock for that clue and we are all lesser humans for not seeing it sooner.

I'm definitely on board with this. I really like what I'm hearing. Very eclectic sound. I have no idea how to gauge them, are they out of the question for Thursday? Being 3 albums in I would assume so, but I really have no idea how well known they are.

Listening to the new album on Spotify now and it sounds great. There was a minor bug, Spotify listed about half of the songs as unavailable in the US, however after starring the album they became available. Hopefully this helps anyone facing the same problem

I was wondering this as well. I personally see them as an early Which or late afternoon This/That, but so many things factor in to the organization of time slots and I'm a terrible judge of popularity. Closing out a tent on Thursday night seems feasible I suppose.

Definitely daytime tent. Probably in the Two Door Cinema Club spot from last year.
The more I listen to their new release the more I like it. Definitely a contender for album of the month. They just sound like they would be great live. They are playing the Vic theater here this spring, May I think, and I'm very much so contemplating going.

It makes me sad that every foals song isnt exactly like "Total life forever"
That shiz is so funky and perfect. I had the bonnaroo lineup on shuffle and spontaneously broke out into dance when that song came on when I wasn't really even paying attention to what was playing.
They were on my personal wishlist for this year and I cannot believe I'm finally going to get to see them after all these years! I would start from the beginning and work your way to Holy Fire if you're interested in them. There is such an obvious progression of maturity in their sound and lyrics. Either way, each album is amazing and the show is going to be incredible!

This is fantastic. The more I've watched these guys live, the more they move up my list of must-sees (seeing them here before heading to Roo but now I must see them at Roo too, damn).

Foals are very underrated in my opinion. Extremely stoked to finally see them live, I've heard from several sources they are a bit heavier live which I'm glad to hear. I would definitely recommend starting with Holy Fire all the way through I love the album, then onto Total Life Forever. These two albums are more of what they will play on the farm. Some highlights track wise for me you should check out include the obvious My Number, Inhaler, Late Night, Olympic Airways, and of course Spanish Sahara. Also made the Foals: Band a Day thread a while back and will continue to add to it as June approaches, so that would be a good place to start as well if your just getting into them.
