Someone wants to make a bet?
If Daft Punk plays TomorrowLand or TomorrowWorld this year you have to give me a free trip to TomorrowWorld. If Daft Punk doesn't play, I'll give you a free trip to TomorrowLand 2014.
I know I'm showing my age here, but what about some classics? Like, Rabbit in the Moon??? I mean, would RitM rematerialize for this or what? Bunny is out of Tampa, so it's not that far fetched. Or Sasha AND Digweed spinning together? How about some Crystal Method doing a live set? What if Icey and Baby Anne did a set!?? Any "old-school" anything would also help me get to this fest.
I totally want Kruder and/or Dorfmeister for MOEMS.

High stakes.
Cost of a ticket, or ticket + airfare? I'll do it if I can accept the prize in cash.
You can only polish a turd so much. This bad-boy needs Underworld/The Knife/Daft Punk for me to consider it.
I watch the videos from TomorrowLand, and while the production looks absolutely incredible, the music seems like nonstop cheese. I'm sure the lights and lasers are tres awesome while you're rolling face, but it's basically fist-pumping Aoki/Avicii/SHM type garbage from what I can tell, right?
Also, doesn't Tomorrowland require everyone that's playing to come up with a stage show to fit that year's theme? I honestly can't imagine Daft Punk doing that. Nor can I imagine the likes of Underworld or the Knife at something like this.
There are like 15 stages/tents. Not everything is on those huge ass stages.

So 15 at tomorrowland? We don't know how many will be at tomorrowworld's first year, do we?

I don't get what you're saying here. Are you saying that the non-cheese is on the smaller stages, or that Daft Punk wouldn't play one of the big stages?
I just looked at the TomorrowLand 2012 lineup: Fatboy Slim, Guetta, Afrojack, Paul Van Dyk, Calvin Harris, Lil Jon, Above & Beyond, Swedish House Mafia, Skrillex, Avicii, Aoki, Digweed, Bingo Players, Porter Robinson...yeah.
I would HATE myself if I paid $400 + travel and whatnot for that.... I think I'll wait until '14.

Sooo? How bout me make a more reasonable Gentlemen's level bet? I'd hate to bankrupt a newly-wed. Plus getting that much money deposited in my bank account from Belgium might bring unwanted attention from the G-men.
Tomorrowland is one of the biggest European festivals, so of course every big European dj is there...being the first year and in the states, I bet we get a good mix of European and American talent.

If Daft Punk plays, it's a DJ set on the main stage. Main Stage is all very commercial and will not have bands like Kraftwerk or The Knife. BUT they also have these artists playing in smaller tents.
But I was aiming at bands like Pendulum, Crookers, Benga, Knife Party that will play in the tents, not adjusting their stage design and play regular sets. They have many of those. Most of these tents are hosted by a music label or DJ.
A lot of themed tents like I LOVE THE 90s (90s music), BACK2BACK (DJs performing together), genre stages like Hardcore, DnB, House and live stages/tents with bands and rappers.
Anyone who was at counterpoint will tell you that the space was small. Two separate camping areas with one stage and two tents. 20-30,000 people tops...I hope they were holding back on us and there's more to the venue than that...

In the interview they said that the space was the same size as the one in Belgium. With a big amphitheatre and 2 ponds (water places?). So there should be room for at least 8-10 stages/tents.
2 big main stages and 1 big tent + 5-7 smaller stages and tents.
From that Counterpoint Facebook post: "Then don't go. One of the biggest parties in the world coming to our city. That's sick. You unpatriotic quacks"
"HAHAHHA it's not gonna be anywhere close to one of the biggest parties its 21 and f*cking over. fucking hello snooze fest full of a bunch of alcoholics"

It's so close, I'm up for even one day if needed. Have to see what this thing looks like.
Hey any one-dayers that want to crash at Chez Mayonaise are welcome to stay avec moi. Or even not avec moi if I end up camping. My home is open to Roosters.

I was asking because there are some decent $50/night places around airport. Unless I am blown away by lineup, thinking about hitting a Braves game on Friday and a day pass for Saturday.
Hey just so you guys know Tomorrowland uses a picture registration process much like Glasto to sell their tickets.
There is one major difference though. The picture has to be a full body shot and they use it to determine if you are young and beautiful. Only those deemed model or near model quality are given an opportunity to buy tickets.
Don't believe me? Watch the video again and find me one ugly person. Sorry folks but you all are out
