Peter Murphy Sun, April 28 - Pensacola FL @ Vinyl Music Hall
I'll be at this one.
Vinyl is an awesome little music hall. I miss it. Saw Los lonely boys and halestorm there. Good pizza place just down from it with a good micro brew selection. My only complaint about vinyl was the lack of good beer and whiskey selection.
possibly a Sunday !!! add? i know its a slim chance just wishful thinking

That would mean they'd play 10 shows in a row. Wow, I'm already impressed with the 9 shows they have planned. I'd say it's possible, but I don't think it's going to happen.
I think Icona Pop could make a chance as an addition.
"I’m quite thrilled to announce a new bluegrass project featuring Bryan Sutton, Ronnie McCoury, Luke Bulla, and Barry Bales."
I just googled all his projects. You're talking about another project. He has 4 touring bands.
1. Unnamed band (Bryan Sutton, Ronnie McCoury, Luke Bulla, and Barry Bales) 2. Noam & Friends (Bryan Sutton, Luke Bulla, Barry Bales and Larry Cobb) 3. w/ Tim O'Brien 4. Punch Brothers

I just got outread by a European. To redeem myself, I will say that I noticed this on the re-read.
"And speaking of festivals, I’m quite thrilled to be returning to Bonnaroo to be part of the unveiling of the new Bluegrass Situation Stage!"
bacon and itrainmonkeys, please say this hasn't been brought up before. Failing twice at reading one article would be sad.

No worries Dave Maynar, it doesn't matter that much.
I just found at that Larry Cobb is the drummer for Kevin Costner & The Modern West. (To be honest, I have all his albums and listen to them on a very regular basis.)

Bonnaroo really doesn't HAVE to add jambands. I'm sure a few will get added with the late additions and a lot with the Cafe bands, but I read that while booking the festival the organisers didn't really notice the lack of jam until everyone was booked.
This might just be fanboy wishful thinking, but I'm thinking the Crowes are a good bet. They're playing in the southeast the week before Bonnaroo, and they've announced European tour dates the week after Bonnaroo, but there's white space in between.

Yes kind of, we already knew from some interview or something that there was going to be a bluegrass theme tent which is closed by the bluegrass superjam

I knew it was at least a solid theory based off the line-up. I didn't know if there had been anything concrete said though.

First i've heard of them giving it an official name. But I'm guessing this is just a one year thing and not permanently renaming the stage. Seems to come from this: www.thebluegrasssituation.com/festival/
Should be cool though. Can't wait to see who they put there.
I think the bluegrass tent is going to end up being a rail riding event for me. Any other day of the week I would probably wind up missing most or all of it but Sunday country(ish) tent is a tradition for me (that was sadly disrupted last year)

I read that, but I am not really buying it. I think they realized it when they didn't have a Jam headliner this year! I think it is hard not to notice something when it was the thing that got them started.

I could see them being our biggest addition. And even though they're not a true jam band it might satiate the appetite of those folks who are looking for a little more jam on the farm this year.
At a certain point people just need to realize Bonnaroo has changed and that is just the way it is. If you want Bonnaroo 2002 there are festivals for that, this is Bonnaroo 2013 and for my money this is the best lineup since I have been going (or at least tied with 08)
