Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
At a certain point people just need to realize Bonnaroo has changed and that is just the way it is. If you want Bonnaroo 2002 there are festivals for that, this is Bonnaroo 2013 and for my money this is the best lineup since I have been going (or at least tied with 08)
"We love a lot of the great jambands and they will definitely be returning to Bonnaroo at various points in the future.” Capps also admits that he didn’t notice the lack of a shed-size jamband until the festival’s lineup was revealed."
Sounds more like just this year not a permanent change in direction. I am enjoying saving up all these quotes when there is a jam heavy lineup in a few years though.
Really do you think AC just read inforoo and realized "woopsie daisy forgot the jambands, aw shucks"
Ya obviously some years there will be more than others, but if you want a festival full of the jambands people have been posting here there are better places to get them than Bonnaroo these days.

Bacon, I agree. There are a ton of festivals that will not disappoint year after year with jam heavy or even exclusive jam lineup. Bonnaroo MAY have a jammier lineup down the road at some point. And oh how sweet will that be as a reward to Jess for saving up all those quotes over the years.

Bonnaroo has not been "full of" jambands since 2007, I was referring to having 5-6 bigger names as they generally do. I was referring to your comments that were implying that this would be the standard format now, and I sincerely doubt that will be the case.

OAR with Andrew McMahon and Allen Stone are touring a few days after Roo...With Allen Stone already on the lineup, could OAR or Andrew be a possibility?

To be honest I really though we were getting OAR for a few reasons. I could see them being a perfect fit 'headline' the adds. To me they just feel like a band that no one is getting super excited for or sell many extra tickets, but at the same time will get people talking at a 'big' add.

OAR was one of two bands (along with Walk the Moon, who are on the lineup) that I noticed actively tweeting their fans asking them to put them on their #roo13wishlist. It might just be coincidence that Walk the Moon was booked, but I thought those tweets made both bands likely.

Honestly, I just want Andrew McMahon haha. I've seen OAR in the past, and they were OK, but putting Andrew McMahon and Bonnaroo together would make me so giddy.

Ya that was one of my reasonings, along with the dates, and also the #roo13wishlist on Roos twitter.

I thought his second Jack's Mannequin album was horrendous and haven't listened since, I honestly didnt know he was still active.
I think the bluegrass tent is going to end up being a rail riding event for me. Any other day of the week I would probably wind up missing most or all of it but Sunday country(ish) tent is a tradition for me (that was sadly disrupted last year)
So did you skip it when they moved it to Friday last year? The Infamous Stringdusters > Sam Bush> Trampled by Turtles was something no bluegrass fan should miss. I went to the Avett Brothers in between sets and they simply couldn't compete with that. The only downside was no guest appearances. Hopefully, doing a themed bluegrass tent will encourage some awesome pairings

Nope I was on the rail all day there too, but that had a stronger lineup than this years for me.

Well sam bush and stringdusters were late adds if i remember correctly, so keep the faith
Well, I've filled out my mock, and I think we're looking at one late night jam band (or superjam), and about 3-5 lower level main stage acts, along with lower level tent acts for all four days. I'm thinking one-two big names in the addition, with the rest being fillers. Hopefully, good fillers.
