Honest question for folks who keep wanting Widespread. Where do you see them playing? I get the lack of jam, but I just can't see where they fit. There's no point booking WSP unless they get a long set, which means Late Night. I can't see a band that headlined so many Bonnaroos stepping below LN Which. By my count, we have (probably) two LN Which slots and (possibly) one LN What slot. I can see a solid case for Bjork, Pretty Lights, R. Kelly, Wu-Tang, and Wilco in those slots. So that's already 5 bands that could very easily fit into 2 or 3 slots. Pretty Lights is a lock for one of the LN Which slots I think. So that leaves 1 maybe 2 LN slots and 4 bands currently on the lineup competing for them. I'm not a WSP fan but I'm not opposed to them being there not as a headliner. I'm just curious where you see them on the schedule because for me the math doesn't work.

I know its a bit too far of a fetch but: Huey Lewis and the News are celebrating the 30th anniversary of Sports and they are wrapping up their tour in Paducah on June 11.

honestly not a bjork fan so I would rather a WSP or Trey Band LN What of Which after Mumford's snooze fest
that also says 6/8 as the date they'll be playing roo. Don't know what to make of it but doesn't look promising
Well here's what on the site that they're actually playing already 06.29.13 Kanrocksas
08.04.13 Camp Bestival
09.07.13 Isle of Wight, UK Bestival
They have a new album coming out at the end of May so maybe we'll get lucky. I have to admit, this group brings out my choral geek like nobody's business.
]honestly not a bjork fan so I would rather a WSP or Trey Band LN What of Which after Mumford's snooze fest
I get not being a fan, but realistically, given Bjork is most likely going to be in that LN What/Which Saturday, where would they play? What's AC's benefit to getting a jam band and putting them not on Sunday and bumping Bjork out of her spot for a bands that have played in the last couple of years? I think wishing for those acts is akin to wishing for Fleetwood Mac or Kanye, whilst just barely within the realm of possibility, it's not within the realm of reasonable probability.
I love Panic but I don't think there is a reasonable chance they are added. The only slot I could see would be after Mumford or bump Mumford to the Avett spot (which would never happen). I personally don't "get" how M & S is gonna have a good unopposed slot at night. Talk about sleepy. Then again I am not really a fan of that style of music.

Just to play Devils advocate, they could play opposite Mumford ia a 2009 style Beasties/Byrne. I doubt they will get added though TAB is really more likely if it was going to be anything like that.
1-1-12 Bassnectar NYE SHOW! 1-21-12 G. Love and Special Sauce 3-1-12 Radiohead 3-9-12 Experience Hendrix 5-15-12 Jack White @ The Ryman 6-7-12 Bonnaroo 6-19-12 Roger Waters presents "THE WALL" 7-7-12 Ringo Starr's 72nd Birthday Party Extravaganza at the Ryman

Yeah I could see that, but one night is all but guaranteed Pretty Lights on Which. Then the other night could easily have Wu-Tang or R. Kelly, and possibly Nas. I concede it's possible, but the trickle down from stages to tent bumps seem not worth the hassle or coin.
Jesus Christ Tuesday can't here fast enough, I can't wait to be disappointed again with no additions.
Thoughts on the acts that are in the smallest font size now being bumped to Cafes? I think it'll happen to a few acts again this year, but right now my bet is just a formatting error for when they added extra lines.

You may not like that style, but I've also got to assume you've never really listened to M&S. It's hard to sleep when you're busy boot stomping.

Honestly, I'd love to see Widespread rock a late night... don't see it happening though... however, if a top billed act like that were to be added, I think it could fit.... Honestly, I could definitely see a case for one LN What act, possibly Wu-Tang (would quacking rock!) or Bjork (Maybe spread the crowds a little for LN Which?). I could also see Bjork following M&S, the way Jay-Z followed Stevie Wonder in 2010; or competing with M&S (what/which). With that, I don't see a LN Which for R. Kelly... I'd rather see him in a late tent set (I'm probably wrong here though). That leaves open one LN Which for Pretty Lights (I'd put money on it), and another LN Which for Wilco (or another band to be added?!). I could also see Wilco opening for Petty or Macca on What. Also, could anyone else see a LN Passion Pit show?

You my friend are correct. I only have heard a couple of their songs. I grew up listening to old time bluegrass and classic rock so the sleepy comment was more compared to that and other headliners. I'm all for acoustic music I just prefer it during the day (at Roo that is). To each his own I guess.
Wonder what the Ed Helms Whiskey Sour Radio Hour is gonna be.
Was wondering that too. At first I thought it was going to be a sketch show since he's not a regular standup but apparently it's a type of show he has done with his bluegrass stuff. Here's a description of a show I found:
Didn’t make it to the LA Bluegrass Situation festival this past May? WELL WE’VE GOT GOOD NEWS. Ed Helms’ WHISKEY SOUR RADIO HOUR is back at Largo at the Coronet (366 N La Cienega Blvd, LA) on Friday, August 17 at 9pm!
A twist on an old-time radio variety show, Ed brings together his musical and comedy pursuits in a mashup that can only be described as “A Prairie Home Companion on crystal meth and moonshine.”
Special guests and musical companions have not yet been announced, but you never know who’s going to show up for this fantastic evening… stay tuned to The Sitch for updates and announcements. Tickets are available here. See you at Largo!

Agreed. It seems there is a lot of anti-mumford business happening on here that I've seen. While it's anyone's opinion to dislike a certain band, I highly suggest checking them out if you haven't seen them live. They are truly amazing and couldn't be further from a snoozefest. If you can't get into a little feel good bootstomping, you're missing out!
There's a lot of anti-*insertanyband* on inforoo. Don't take it personally. Like I said I grew up listening to bluegrass so I'm naturally inclined to dislike bands that try and popify (I'm just making up words now) that style of music. After this morning I listened to some more at work today on pandora and they aren't bad. I still wasn't able to tell the difference b/t them and avett/luminneers though (besides the banjo). That being said there are plenty (prob more) of people who can't tell the difference between Panic and Phish. So to each their own.
I'm sure this is gonna start an argument but I'm done. I've given my 2 cents. Not like its gonna change anything anyways.
