Bonnaroo is bigger than Hopscotch but the people that run Hopscotch have been friends with Matthew for a long time. The big 40-piece band performance of it at Hopscotch took a whole lot of planning and he said that'd be the only time they'd play the album live in that fashion since it was such an ordeal.
I've seen him with the 5-piece band, too, and it does sounds pretty different from the album, but it's still good.
I'm gonna pretend you didn't just kill my dream! The forty piece from hopscotch wins all but the most serious conflicts for me. I amnot sure where a five piece stands in t erms of conflicts. Thanks again. I sure hope bonnaroo demanded a redo of the hopscotch show. That would be awesome.
This has probably been mentioned already but Any chance of a widespread add? They have a nice break from June 9 when they play Raleigh to June 21 when they play Nebraska? I seen em twice and I enjoyed both shows. They wouldn't beat out my most brutal conflicts but would be a good show for Sunday. widespread>zz top>Tom petty on Sunday what stage would be a great reason for me to chill in one spot for like seven hours Sunday afternoon/night!

Seeing that WSP has headlined all 19 times they've played Bonnaroo, I can't see them being added with the top line looking they way it does. They certainly wouldn't pre preheadline
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Trey was the very first headliner and has headlined other times. In 2005 he did a late night slot. Anything can happen.
i can't imagine widespread panic actually thinking they're on the same level of the other headliners this year. IF they're added (which i doubt) there's no way they'd be expecting to headline.
About 30% of my excitement about new additions is to see who else is playing. The other 70% is so I can forget that WSP is a band after they're not added and people quit hyping themselves up over the possibility of a headliner from 2 years ago returning as an addition.

It sure would be great to get the first round of music additions today! And I know a lot of people like the comedy and that's cool those that go will have a good time and bonnaroo knows what they are doing that is why they keep bringing it back and hey fewer people between me and the stage is always a good thing but as far as I'm concerned comedy is just as good on TV (just my opinion I know I am going to get crucified for it) so I don't really think of the comedy adds as additions since I know I won't be seeing an of them.

Anyone think there's a chance Bosnian Rainbows (Omar Rodriguez Lopez's, formerly of The Mars Volta, new band) could be an add? They have a short tour announced that leaves them in Houston at the start of June. Wow, it really really hurt me to type "formerly of The Mars Volta" just now! I caught one of Bosnian Rainbows' shows a few months ago and really enjoyed it. The lead singer has an incredible stage presence. It's no TMV, but it's still damn good!
Anyone else think there's a chance of getting Black Moth Super Rainbow added? BMSR's current tour ends June 1 in Asheville- And I would go to this show if they don't get added to Roo... possible break before Roo? Thoughts?

No, they were right, well partially at least. It's actually at 3am on April 2nd.
Thought we had a good chance for DFA1979 since they're at Governors Ball, but looks like they're in Portugal on the Wednesday (12th)...

I was going to say, my dreams are crushed, but THANK THE LORD THERE'S STILL HOPE.
However, after seeing Lollapalooza's lineup announcement today, I have to say that I really hope Bonnaroo steps up their game with the add ons. Really hoping for DFA1979, New Order, The Cure (probably not but a boy can dream), and some more metal music, Baroness isn't cutting it for me.
Real bummed that Queens of the Stone Age are promised to download festival instead of Bonnaroo, and even more bummed that Lolla is sold out completely, and that's their only US stop for their current tour.

STS9 is hitting some festivals and have the weekend of Roo open.
Sounds good to me, I made the mistake of going back to my tent to take "a nap" after Eminem in '11. Needless to say, I didn't make it back into centeroo. That won't ever happen again.
