I'm still really hoping for Bosnian Rainbows, and I think there's actually a decent chance for them. They play 4 Texas dates, leaving them in Houston on May 30. Their announcement says they plan to tour both the West and East Coast in June/July for their upcoming album release. C'mon Bonnaroo, give me some Omar!
Bosnian Rainbows have announced even more shows overseas in May two of them with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the rest headlining. They will then fly back to El Paso to play at this years Neon Desert Festival on May 25th with three more Texas shows around it. Upcoming tour announcements will include their USA West Coast and East Coast tour in June/July in support of their album release on June 25th as well as shows in South America. In August they will return to Europe to play on the Sargent House stage at The Indiependence Festival in Ireland and the Pukkelpop Festival in Belguim - with still more August/September EU dates being added, so stay tuned.

Well way to crush my dreams! Hopefully their tweet was in reference to finalized bands for the initial lineup and they just secured Bosnian Rainbows for an add. You gotta let me dream a little bit!
Did everyone see the announcement of AmericanaramA yesterday with Dylan, Wilco, Richard Thompson,Ryan Bingham, and MMJ starting June 24th? Could any of these be additions (excluding Wilco of course)? Or, best case scenario, 3 of the 4?
I really don't care if none of these get added. They are playing IN Peoria just a month after Roo. Can't wait for that show. This also means I can at least skip Wilco at Roo since I will have the chance to see them here in town.

Yeah they are playing Nashville June 30th, so at least if there's a conflict with Wilco and someone else, that will make my decision easier. Also, I've seen Bingham and MMJ at roo. It would be cool to see Dylan at Bonnaroo, and Richard Thompson as well. Seems like Thompson and Bingham are the only real possibilities of adds considering how big the other 3 are.

I can assure you that Wilco will not be an addition.

I'm getting a stronger and stronger vibe that Steve Martin and Edie Brickell will be added.
I really hope so. Saw them perform together this morning on the Today show and liked it a lot. Also, I am still kicking myself for missing Steve Martin when he was on the farm a few years ago.
These additions usually occur on a Wednesday, and I highly doubt they would do it this late in the day. In fact, additions have never come on a Tuesday I believe. It's just a hunch, but I feel pretty certain.
The Project tape worm project (tori Amos + Trent + Maynard) would be my dream superman (never going to come back around tho)
It's just mean to even bring this topic up anymore. I wish someone could find these sessions and leak the tracks. Trent has said in past interviews that the material they did just wasn't up to their standards so I don't know though. I do know that "Passive" on A Perfect Circle's eMOTIVe started off as "Vacant" from the Tapeworm sessions, I believe there was a demo floating around awhile back that had Tori and Maynard of vocals with Trent doing the music.
Anyway, the only chance we have of Trent on the farm is How To Destroy Angels and I'd say that considering they just announced a one-off beyond their current tour at Voodoo Fest that we have at least a chance, they'd be the PERFECT late night show for the electronic tent.
Four Tet > How To Destory Angels...late night tent, make it happen!

Yeah, Thompson will be at my local show so if anything, hopefully Bingham is an addition.

Fuck, dudes a legend but does anyone really wanna see Bob perform live anymore? His LPs offer a much better listening experience, and your spared the grim reality of seeing what he has become. (Which is old, raspy, and short winded)

For those just joining us, one company runs artist pages for many festivals, thus resulting in the redirects for bands that are not and will not be booked.

So has anyone seen the New Orleans video and blurb on the website that just got posted today? It states that Dumpstaphunk will be at this years festival. Do you think this is a typo as they were there last year? Maybe this was something from last year that has been re-posted?
KEYS TO THE CITY 23.Apr.2013 by bonnaroo-staff
If you ask most people which instrument is most iconic of New Orleans music, they’d probably say the trumpet. After all, the city’s airport is even named after Louis Armstrong.
But even though you can’t second-line down the street with one, ever since Jelly Roll Morton ushered ragtime into jazz in Storyville saloons, the piano has also been at the heart of the New Orleans sound. Keyboardist Ivan Neville is a Bonnaroo veteran who learned his chops at the foot pedals of his uncle, Art “Poppa Funk” Neville—and to him, the piano is the sound of the Crescent City.
“The coolest thing to me about New Orleans piano, is everybody has their own little spin on how they interpret the stuff,” says Neville, who will be appearing at this year’s festival with his band, Dumpstaphunk. “All the guys were like that—Allen Toussaint, Fats, Booker, Dr. John. The closest to me was my uncle. I took a lot of direction for my style from him. But they all had their own version of something that I thought was amazing.”
I wish someone could find these sessions and leak the tracks.
From everything I've gathered, any usable portions of what they recorded have already been released in many different songs/albums. The group was mainly Trent, Maynard and Danny Lohner; the project itself was built mostly from b-sides of The Fragile recordings (from Trent, Danny and Charlie Clouser). Danny Lohner and Maynard built a cover of the vacant song for APC. Shortly after, Trent publicly called it quits on the project. Danny Lohner took most of his work from tapeworm and applied it to his personal projects like The Damning Well, which never got legs and instead transformed into Black Light Burns. Puscifer's song "potions" was originally written by Trent (presumably tapeworm). And one of Saul Williams' albums was made from b-sides of the fragile (which are probably the same exact recordings used for tapeworm).
If you're looking for a glimpse of what tapeworm probably sounded like, listen to the first Underworld Soundtrack (look for danny lohner/renholder producer credits), Black Light Burns - Cruel Melody, and Saul Williams - Niggy Tardust.

They have the dates open during that time. Playing NY on the 15th.
