So has anyone seen the New Orleans video and blurb on the website that just got posted today? It states that Dumpstaphunk will be at this years festival. Do you think this is a typo as they were there last year? Maybe this was something from last year that has been re-posted?
KEYS TO THE CITY 23.Apr.2013 by bonnaroo-staff
If you ask most people which instrument is most iconic of New Orleans music, they’d probably say the trumpet. After all, the city’s airport is even named after Louis Armstrong.
But even though you can’t second-line down the street with one, ever since Jelly Roll Morton ushered ragtime into jazz in Storyville saloons, the piano has also been at the heart of the New Orleans sound. Keyboardist Ivan Neville is a Bonnaroo veteran who learned his chops at the foot pedals of his uncle, Art “Poppa Funk” Neville—and to him, the piano is the sound of the Crescent City.
“The coolest thing to me about New Orleans piano, is everybody has their own little spin on how they interpret the stuff,” says Neville, who will be appearing at this year’s festival with his band, Dumpstaphunk. “All the guys were like that—Allen Toussaint, Fats, Booker, Dr. John. The closest to me was my uncle. I took a lot of direction for my style from him. But they all had their own version of something that I thought was amazing.”
I'm thinking it was just copy and pasted from an article written from last year.
(1) Damon Albarn (2) Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds (3) King Khan & His Shrines (4) Ty Segall (5) Ms Lauryn Hill (6) Darkside (7) Kanye (8) Janelle Monae (9) Goat (10) Meshuggah.
I had never really listened to R. Kelly until the lineup dropped, but he is quickly becoming one of my 5-10 must sees this year. Hopefully they put him in the Lil Wayne time slot from 2011 (1:30 am on Which).
With all due respect to bob dylan, Paul will have been the biggest legend to have played the farm after his performance.
Weezy begs to differ.
And I do love wheezy to be sure. His show at the farm was my first dylan show and it was phenomenal. In my opinion it's Paul by a nose. Very close but Paul wins it. In my opinion.

The funny thing is, you are acting no better than the newbs you pick on. If you think about it, you're speculating based on rumors and soft evidence. Maybe you don't go to the extreme like they do, but the basis behind it is essentially the same. However you hide behind tenure on this board and possibly some lame message board equity you built with other posters here. Because of that, you feel that you can be grossly hypocritical and feel you won't be called out on it. The sad thing is you probably wouldn't have been until you chose to cross my path.
You turn around and call me a creepy stalker. Yet you push these newbies so much that they feel inclined to prove themselves to you, which in itself is sickening to me. Who's the creepy guy, me or you? Looks like more hypocrisy. They want to earn favor with you because they deem you as an "established poster". Yet I've reviewed your posts here on this forum; you are one of the biggest haters and trolls that we have here. And don't make me call you out by giving examples again. If you deny it, I'll expose you again for the whole board to see. I have no problem going much further than I did a few posts ago.
In essence I'd much rather get back to the music, but you're most likely too bitter and petty to drop this needless internet war with me. So I'll just let you hang yourself with the proverbial rope I gave you.
Keep playing the role of the internet bully who makes snarky comments, scoffs at other people's opinions, and would much rather bring negativity to this board over anything else. I'll have fun ripping you apart if I have to, trust me.
Let me preface this by saying I aware of the horrible problem of online bullying among teens and adolescents. I am aware of the horrible effects the suicides and NO NO WORD!!! use and downward spiraling of countless beautiful young lives because of this serious problem. I am not condoning Internet bullying among children. Internet bullying is a plague among the youth today.
That said my following statement applies to adults bullying other adults who can handle it and shake it off.
What would the Internet be without anonymous Internet bullies? In my opinion, they help to make the Internet so great.

Hey guys, used to post over on Inforoo before the move to proboards and I forgot my previous account info etc etc. Take for what it's worth but I have a reason to believe the lineup additions will be coming tomorrow/today (April 24th) at 10am. This year marks my 5th consecutive 'Roo so I know too well about the agita attached to false lineup tips to go spreading total bullshit.
I co-edit an Asbury Park, NJ site and one of the band's we follow are called The Everymen. Their track "Ballad of Sarin" was just used in the "Adventures In Bonnaroo" video posted to 'Roo's Facebook wall only 14 hours ago. The Everymen have been teasing a major announcement on their Facebook for about two weeks now with the last post saying "10am tomorrow....HUGE announcement to make." - www.facebook.com/TheEverymen?fref=ts.
Anyhow, just wanted to share. Take it for what it's worth. Also, The Everymen are pretty good about posting every bit of exposure they get to their FB wall so it strikes as odd that they would neglect to mention something as big as Bonnaroo using their song. I happened upon by accident.

He may be on to something. Look at what is scheduled on 4/24 an hour after supposed announcement .Radio Bonnaroo Re-air of 4/22 show featuring music from Bob Dylan, Iron & Wine & much more. Maybe i'm just getting too excited from reading these boards.

I'm glad to see Guards on your list. Touring with alt-j before Roo and Portugal. the man after. Plus SF went crazy over them at CMJ. I'm thinking that's a lock.
It says Britt is playing with Divine Fits all summer. Britt sings for both bands.
You're right. I read it wrong last night.
It happens. I about peed over what I thought was a date for BTBAM playing at a club here in Knoxville. When I read it again, I saw that it was a date for the bass player's side project.

Sure hope you're right phi. Especially about dylan and vampire weekend. I really dug VWon their chella webcast. Dylan is always great even when he's not. I saw him in 04 at bonnaroo 04 and 04 or 05 at Willie Nelson's fourth of July picnic and he was great both times. In 09 I saw him and he was mor raspy than ususal but he played its alrght ma I'm only bleeding .I know all the words so it alright if I don't understand what he's saying.

I went to sleep with the sounds of Spoon drifting through my mind.
